- Leave Me AloneThis place identifies itself as "Kennedy Kline" or "Kennedy Kline" and says they are looking for someone who is not me or anyone in my household. I have asked to be removed from their call list at least five times, and each time they tell me they refuse to stop calling until they 'find' this person (they claim to be 'investigators'). Each time I block one of their numbers, they start calling on a new one. They have also called from 855-803-2349 and 855-860-3119. I have reported this to the National Do Not Call and to the consumer area as a 'debt collection' complaint, although I'm not sure if it IS a debt collector since they refuse to say why they are calling. They also refused to tell me what city they are supposedly headquartered in - I was told "South Carolina" - three times I said, "That is a state, not a city. What city are you in?" and they still responded with "South Carolina." Not the brightest bunch...sigh.

- Tired Of Fools replies to AdviceI received the same calls, once I told them I was going to report them to the Post Master General they hung up. They use different names and numbers, always ask them to repeat the name over and over again, then let them know you are going to report them, they will hang up. They will even say have you been notified by your local law enforcement, if your local law enforcement was looking for you I am pretty sure they would find you. Again, always use Post Master General, it really works.
Thank you, hope this helps someone. - Andy replies to AdviceThank you. These bottom feeders call themselves investigators and all kind of impressive titles. The are scammers. Nobodies.
- Andy replies to General CounselWhat state are they in??
- po| 1 replythis company keeps calling me asking for the wrong person. the person they ask for evidently left my number as a point of contact and they're asking the whereabouts of this person.
- Completely Fed UpAt first I was receiving calls from 855-775-2417 at which time a recorded message was left. Then from 855-803-2349 at which time a personal message was left (a definite "ghetto voice"). Like others, I have researched the name and similar names for Kennedy Kline, etc., but find no listings, business or otherwise. I can only conclude it is a boiler room operation or a "one man" scheme operating out of someone's basement or back room. The FTC and Attorney Generals of numerous states are warning of these bogus collection scams. The best advice is to just ignore their telephone calls, block their numbers and report them. Don't even give this slime the satisfaction of talking to them and, importantly don't give them any personal information, credit card, bank information or personal information!

- CharlesOn the 13th of Dec this company called looking for a Devante Smith was told this # was given as a point of contact told the man I did not know this person asked my name and said we will remove you from the call list. On Dec the 26th the same # called me looking for me this time said that I written a bad check. Scam written all over it if they call you do not give your name they will use it against you. If they threaten you say this to them well The federal fair debt collection act requires you send me something do by email never give them your address in writing and I have 30 days to respond to you if they threaten to have you arrested of served or whatever they are not a debt collector they scare people into paying them. It is big scam by the company called American debt collectors. Call there bluff they can not touch you once you pay the # will change and if you pay you will get others to call with similar stories.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - Lori replies to Badge714That's totally funny! Nope, the law gives you no warnings! They must think everyone is a bunch of dummies...

They said my name on the voice mail. With my maiden name. I haven't done anything. But target stores were compromised recently.. Do you think this has something to do with that?

- so madddddddsdd| 1 replythey just got me for $100...saying if I didn't pay something by 6pm EST for a loan I defaulted on, though they wouldn't allow me to review the documents describing the loan, and the loan was from 2009, they would be filing several criminal charges against me, issuing a warrant for my arrest, and it would be handled in court and the cost would go up to over $3000. I am reporting to FTC, atty general, bbc, FBI, state atty, and EvERY agency that should be protecting us from these folks, who are the ones that should be in jail...
- Caller: Kennedy Clyne
- Call type: Debt collector
- Not too late replies to so madddddddsddIf you gave them a credit card or debit card number, contact your financial institution and dispute the transaction! If you gave them your checking account or savings account number, notify your financial institution to place a stop payment order on the check or transaction.
