They are a debt collector out of Madison, WI specializing in medical debt.

Scum of the earth. Worst customer service ever!!!!

I called them awhile back to clear up a debt with one provider, but they kept asking me about another company.

I let them know that wasn't why I was calling today, could we please get this debt resolved with the company I *am* calling about?

Their operators are aggressive, rude, interrupting and did not listen to a word I said. I was transferred around 3 times before I was finally disconnected.

Also they will not leave who they are calling about on your voicemail. Why the f*** would I call them back? If you are a sick person and have several medical debts, this isn't helpful. It's harrassment.

this number called me and played a recorded message.  "if your name is  ******************** press 1, if not press two".  i pressed 2 repeatedly and the message kept playing. i dropped the line and called back but the man who answered would do nothing until i said my name.  i asked what he is selling and was told "we aren't".  whoever theses guys are they are well trained and devious.  thanks to halo i at least have an idea where the call is originating from. not that it has any relevance to me.  if i get more info i will post it.

Called and said line was being "recorded and monitored," but went so fast I didn't understand who he said he was calling "on behalf of." I asked him why call was being "recorded and monitored," and he would not answer. Then, he would not repeat who he was calling "on behalf of."

    Mr. Big
One year and 3 months later and this company is still making random calls to my number, but still playing the same game.  It boggles my mind all the time and expense they waste acting like total morons.  And as other posters have noted, if you are calling me, then don't play a message telling me to stay on the line for the next available representative....who in their right mind does this!?!  The people who work for this scumbag company need to be harassed 24/7 until they absolutely can't take it anymore and end up offing themselves, leaving us with one less idiot to put up with!

    Yep, me again
I have never in my life incurred any debt, let alone a medical one, yet they have been calling at least every few days for the last few months.  I have never answered their calls, & put them on call blocker, but I guess they are too dumb to figure it out as they continue to call.  And if they are calling regarding a family member, I'm not their answering service.

Ok - first of all they are not in customer service - because once you get yourself into a collection agency you are no longer a customer - YOU are a debtor... Yes they were asking you about your other bills as well because you owe them! Pay your bills and you won't have to deal with collection agencies... They are not scum, they do not owe the bill YOU DO!

Debt collectors are still customer service. Anyone dealing with customers or potential customers- whether it is debt related or not, are customer service representatives of the company they work for. That makes the person they are calling a customer- however the person the debt collection company is calling now a customer to that company. There is no reason that the rep that is calling does not need to be rude or mean when talking to someone about debt as it is a sensitive topic for many people.

You, Duh, obviously have no sense as to what customer service is. I sincerely hope that is not your job, or are you one of the scum of the earth that harasses people.

I am a customer services specialist for a hospital. I agree that having a debt does not warrant rudeness from a collection agency. What did "Duh" say, you are the one with the debt (that was to imply you deserve shabby treatment). Sounds like "Duh" would be a perfect employee of that agency.

I agree that Duh has an interesting outlook on separating the difference between CSR / Debt Collector and explains how and why debt collectors use so many illegal tactics under state and federal FDCPA. I have heard it said other ways before! Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Called me just now. Said a summons was being issued and a failure to appear. I laughed at him. I have no debt and I am a paralegal. That is not how the system works I explained. He got upset. I hung up on him and told him to take his scam elsewhere.
