Mr. Daniel Thomas called in regards to a complaint for Jefferson Ave - I have no idea where a Jefferson Ave is

My Sister-in-law's cell and our home phone received a message from Vicki Anderson saying to call her regarding a legal matter.  I called 1-855-811-1430.  A man answered and I said, "Vicki Anderson, please."  He asked if I have a reference number.  I replied yes.  He said, "What you got?"  To which I laughed and told him.  Another man answered, much more professional, and said it was the litigation office.  I did not catch his name.  He was surprised I had not received any papers about some "complaint" out against me.  He put me on hold to look up more info.  I hung up.

Just received a voicemail from this number. The young male was very evasive and never said the name of any company or law firm but mentioned them. He called from a private/restricted number and this was the his first call. Not sure where these folks get any of our information but we just bought new cars and house so i am thinking that our information has crossed some company or person selling it to companies like this. But its very annoying.
Please don't give these folks the time of day or any money....

I haven't done any other investigation on than right here on this discussion thread...thanks for sharing everyone! These idiots called my home landline and my cell phone yesterday afternoon and then again today. In addition, they had the nerve to call my father's office (he's a doctor) today where I have never physically worked but have done work for him--so I'm guessing that's how they connected his number to my name. Quite creepy that they can find so much information about us so easily. He was worried that I was in some sort of trouble. I had to reassure him that it was a scam. I am planning to report them to the FCC and the FTC. Thanks again for sharing :)

I forgot to add that they said I had to go to court and that legal action was being taken against me.

I received a call from a "SCOTT ELLIS" from the McClellen? Group saying I didn't receive documents so they were returned to them. I told him to take me off their list and they asked if it was indeed ME thet they were talking to. I told them I'm not saying it was or wasn't & they said they can't take me off the list is I didn't tell them it was ME so I hung up.

Just received a called from this number. They called restricted.  Talking about somebody file a complaint against me in I got 24 hours to call the lawyers office with the reference number before legal action would be taking against me. They never gave me the law office name

It's a scam don't listen to anything they say and if You call them back they can get numbers out of Ur phone and call people you know

Mark Ellis called to say he had civil suit papers to serve on me. He then ask if I had an attorney, when I said yes he said he/she couldn't call him back.
He gave me the number 855 811 1430 . Found this information a little confusing.

Its a scam .if u are being served with legal papers why would they call u to give ubthe heads up .
So u could b waiting for them with a gun .a bat  or a knife.
I called mr anthony diaz ask him if he had a copy of the complaint in front of him he said yes.i asked him to email it to me .he replied i cant email it to u ."john"i dont know what ur finishing for but u will get ur papers  .and stop calling my office and slammed the phone down..real professionals nots

Besides its against the law to call and tell u .u will b getting served with papers

Received a call earlier this evening. Called the number that was given to me. Spoke with a Joshua Hansen. They have a scary amount of information. They also get very irritated when you start to question their validity. In the end I was told that they would see me in court and he hung up on me.

So today these guys called my phone, my sisters phone and both my parents phones looking for my wife.  Message was the same issue a warning that if she does not return there call that there would be legal ramifications.  I called them back from a blocked number, with the case number and they refused to speak to me regarding the matter unless I provided accurate contact information(phone number)  I refused.  I asked them why they cannot give more detail regarding the supposed debt or "case" and they stated that due to the fact that they were not speaking with my wife directly that they could not disclose information.  I then asked them how that could be when they called several family members looking for her providing the case number and inviting them into our personal affairs.  All they could say was that it was different when they are looking for someone.  My poor wife is now completely stressed out and people keep calling her asking what the messages were about.  How sad that people can dig into others lives like this and completely disrupt them.  We have no debt new or old so I do not even know what these people are talking about.

jay adams got in touch with me today. The claim seems to be bogus according to my bank.

I got a call from a person claiming he needed to know at what time I would be home to serve some legal papers as to which I ask from who he said oh I can't believe you are not aware of these papers so I asked for more info he gave me the phone number and reference number to call 8558125388 also Mulhullan Law firm had all my info except had my dl wrong watch out scam alert to the extent!!!

My parents got a call today ( I haven't lived there in at least 11 years) looking for me, someone wanting to serve papers. They left the number 855-814-5097 and a "claim number." I called back from a blocked number and the very rude lady claimed I was being sued for some crazy amount on a credit card I never had. I told her I never had the card and she didn't have to be rude, she told me I would be served papers and hung up on me.

About 2 hours ago I received a voicemail from someone who left the 855-814-5097 number as the number to call back. The caller ID was listed as "Restricted Number." Some rude-sounding woman who identified herself as "Myra Cruz" left a very curt message stating that that a complaint had been forwarded to her office and that it was a time-sensitive opportunity. She gave a "case file reference number" and said if they didn't receive an immediate response, they would be forced to proceed without consent. Obvously a bill collector using threatening tactics. The joke is, the message was for my ex-husband of 10 years whom I have no contact with and have no idea where he is--so proceed away, Myra! LOL

They called my husband back in March '15 and asked if he had recieved his summons for court. When he says he hadn't recieved anything, they said that they could issue an arrest warrant, garnish his wages, suspend his drivers license and ruin his career if he didn't pay $1500 now. So I reported them to the BBC, and just got a message back stating that they "closed the file" and that they dont want to point fingers, but what was stated was borderline defamation of their company and that they have never missrepresented themselves in any way. Report them and the BBC will stop them after enough complaints!!
