These people have called my place of employment as well as my brother. They want me to call them back with my "case number" so they can serve me "papers" somewhere other than my place of employment. They want to scare me into paying them to "settle" the debt that I don't owe.

Called numerous times and said they were notifying someone about a court date for a debt owed.  When I informed them that I'll relay the message to my friend they got mad and hung up.

Edward Blake from Lexington Law firm told me I was going to court in a few days...even though i have never been served, or received any letters in the mail....i googled the phone and saw all these posts about them being scammers.  So I called him back a few times and harassed him.  whats good for the goose is good for the gander....scam callers - they cant do [***], and i doubt its even a law firm as it doesn's come up in reverse number lookup.  have fun with them people - harass them back

I have received about 3 calls from this number, saying I have a court date pending and papers that have served too me..which is a lie, if they can find my place of employment too harass me, then why can't they send me something certified in the mail too my house? One big scam.

This ppl have called and harass me saying I owe money from a MC account. Their were nasty and expected me to give them a down payment so I don’t have to go to court. They were nasty. Now I have to at my credit report

Told me I had an unpaid credit card from Best Buy 9 years ago that I needed to pay. Said if I didn’t pay them $1900 right then they would be “serving” me papers at my place of employment and that I would have to go to court. They also called my Uncle looking for me, who lives in a different State. I did have a Best Buy Card years ago, but my credit report shows it was closed in good standing. This is harassment and a scam.

I had a voice mail from this number today, telling me I needed to call about a legal matter and left a case number.  I have not called them back yet, I goggled the number first and found these other posts.  Is this a scam??

You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested).  Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it.  Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter.  You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to.  Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment.  If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it.  Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front):  http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

Scammers. Lexington Law helps consumers themselves. These people are falsely using the firm's name.

Well, Lexington Law has been scamming people for years.  So this is simply an extension of their scam.

Shill Alert - I think we all know from the many posts on this site that Lexington Law has gathered many complaints; some about failing to meet promises made about credit repair and some about threatening collection calls.  That line about "helps consumers help themselves" is just a bit too slick to be comforting.

Lexington Law the credit "fixer" has a long complaint tail and is also a longtime repeat spammer of complaint sites like this one. I find it implausible that the same company would work the other side of the fence, creating phantom debts for their "fixer" wing to "settle", using the very same name. I do find it plausible for a PDL extortionist to ape the "credit repair" firm simply to confuse his victims. Note the previous reference, after spelling correction, to Westchester Processing. I'd suggest starting there for pattern match homework.

I keep getting a call from a private number to tell me to call this 855-863-3264 with a case number about a debt.  However when i did call them for grins and told them i was prepared to pay in full right now, they completed lost their senses.  Didnt know what to do.  They have called my work, they have called my son in law, and they still ask for me by a name that i havent used in 10 years.

I was being harassed by a fraudulent law office by several names; "Gray Law office and Gray Law Group" who tried to summon me over the phone about an unpaid hospital bill from 2012. They claimed that there was a legal hearing on 2/26 in Michigan, in which I live in Illinois and today's date is the 2/23 (1st red flag). I became suspicious but also curious about how they got the last digits of my Social Security number. They even contacted my place of work. I never gave them ANY information nor did I give them any money.

They gave me a fake address, in which I contacted the real Gray & Associates Law office in California. I spoke with a Nacy Gray who assured me that this has been a mistake and also this was the second time that has happened. I become under the impression that these scammers were using her law office name/address to pose their legitimacy. She assured me that she would contact the police and was very upset. When I called the fake firm back to get more information,  each time I was told each time a different name who the manager was. There was an Edward Blake, Mr. Murphy, and a Mr.Reed were managers, in which none of them had email addresses nor did their so-called firm have a website. All those red flags made me more and more determined to get to the bottom of things. I contacted the Attorney of General Office (Ilinois) and reported the number I received the harassing phone calls from "855.863.3262".

I know it's tax season and people are finding any way to find people to scam.
I'm hoping these perpetrators can be caught and stopped.

I was scammed into paying 1200 to these guys. I have a fraud case against them right now.

They keep calling and telling me my social security number is suspended.  Is that’s even possible?!

The automated voice said my social security number had been locked due to possible fraudulent activity.
