I have received many calls from these people.  They ask for someone that isn't me, but when I tell them I am not that person, they will argue or claim that I know that person.  I do not owe anything anywhere.  How on earth can I get this stopped?  They are calling me on my cell phone.  If this does not stop, I have no alternative but to contact legal help.

i received a phone call today from 813-444-4515. It was a young woman by the name of Lisa. She said a friend of mine had 2 felony charges against him re: a loan form 2008. She said they needed a recorded statement from him. She proceeded to tell me the case number, and went on to say he was being accused of check fraud, and impersonating a fraudulent check? WTH? She did not say who the accuser was.She said someone loaned him money, and he didn't pay it back? I tried to press her for more info, and she gave the phone to her supervisor, Tory Dickson. His phone number is 813-444-4510. He couldn't give me any more info. I called my friend, and he said Lisa called him as soon as she hung up the phone with me. He has no idea what any of this is about. Not a clue. He called his attorney, and passed the info along to her. I did some investigating with Intellus, and other than a land line number, no info was available. I did ask where Tory was calling from, and he said Tampa FL. So, upon further investigation I came upon this web-site. I am wondering if this is the same company my friend is getting calls from. I didn't ask for the company name. Totally forgot, because i was so shocked by the call. I really believe this is a scam, and so glad i happened upon the site. I am thinking this is Global Trust. Has anyone received calls from the numbers I listed?

Shame, shame! They are not allowed to do this! But, since it isn't legit, I guess anything is allowed!

I received a call from a company calling themselves Global Management Group and they sound very similar to the Global Trust that you are referring to.  They were tying to tell me that I owed money for a Check Into Cash Loan company from 2005. They fed me some line of 3 year arbitration nonsense. I told them that if this were a 'true' debt that it would have been listed on my credit report (which it wasn't since I obtain my yearly free copy every December, I am positive of this). I also told them that I know for fact that this is not a debt that is mine. He gave me some malarky about video surveillance being available upon pay off of the debt for verification.  The guy on the phone told me several times that I owed $717.50 for the debt. I insisted that they send me paperwork, the guy claimed that he had the 'proof' in front of him and that he would email it to me within an hour...it took him 35 hours before it was sent. The supposed letter had the current date (not a copy of the letter that was supposedly previously sent), it lists an address in Ontario, toll free phone (855.599.9500) and fax (614.543.1318).  The letter that was sent also has a different amount that I was told on the phone for balance owed (as if he couldn't remember what he told me on the phone or something).  The letter also has SEVERAL words misspelled such as creditor, debt and immediate.  The number on my caller id appeared as 330.954.0054 which made me think that it was a local number and why I answered it.  I told the guy that I wouldn't pay anything to anyone over the phone because they called and said that I owed it.  I told him that he needed to go phishing somewhere else

i want to follow up on my other post about Global trust Management and saw your post. I found  Consumer Credit Helpers   when I was dealing with Global. they have dealt with situations like this one on a daily basis. It sounds like typical debt collector tactics to get you to call in. seems like they have handled many debt collectors and their rouge employees before. great information!

Pretty sure the two people above work for Global Trust Management ... I wouldn't call the number they're giving.

These people have been calling frequently for weeks and just left a message for the first time. No information as to what this is regarding, sorry, but I don't recognize the number, I don't recognize the company and I'm not interested in being scammed or bullied. If it's legit I'll hear from them in the mail.

Yes, lovely, isn't it? Also the spammer originating the phone calls seems to have people watching this site as well. Quite creepy.

Report this to the FTC. And the next time these people call, tell them that you have reported them to the Federal Trade Commission and you're going to report them again every single time they call and there will be a $10,000 fine for each instance if the FTC finds that they were harassing you or calling illegally.

This right here tells you the company is not real or legal. It is against the law for them to give you all that information. This is probably a scam and you should report it to the FTC.

Her name was Moore and she was very ruded. and even hung up on me. I was really worried if this was a scam. She said i could set up payment arrangements with her for onces a month. A fax. or an e-mail are not legal proof of anything. Demand a full, complete and legitimate letter of validation. By mail.
If she refuses she is in violation of federal law. Look up and know your rights under the FDCPA. It's easy, just Google it.
You will also want to check on the Statute of Limitation regarding debt in your state. In some states the SOL is as little as 3 yrs. In a few it may be as much as 10 yrs.
    Be Safe. Be Aware.
