Had the same call twice today. Same Asians, same fake badge number same threats. They wanted to speak to my husband about his taxes. Said they were Revenue Canada. I told them that if they were from Canada's tax agency maybe they should do some research and find out the correct name. (Canada Revenue Agency). Told them they were frauds and liars and asked the guy if his mother would be proud of him doing that. He said "jeeeesh" and I hung up. Why can't the government or Interpol go after these criminals? If they get some elderly person or someone who doesn't know any better they can do so much damage!

Yes -  A man who identified himself as "Kevin Smith" from the CRA called and said that I had tax evasion allegations against me and that they had attempted to contact me via registered letter. He said I needed an attorney. He said he was a police officer - badge number 956854.

rec'd same call 3 times, suggest calling the Canadian Anti Fraud Centre 888-495-8501

I got three voice messsages yesterday and today, exactly the same with others.
Good to know it's not only for me. Hahaha

Fraud caller

Just received several calls in less then 6 hours. They started I was quilty of tax fraud and they would be ceasing all of my assets. Total bull!!

I received the same kind of call. The warning about legal fees etc worried my 70-year old Mother and I got angry. I just called and unloaded on the guy who answered, "Officer Mike". I said: "How does it feel to have a 'job' where you play on people's weakness + fear? What does your Mother think about the job you do? You probably don't tell her what you do, do you? You should be ashamed of yourself etc." Guy actually apologized but first said not to call again. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY TELL YOU AT 1 855 881 8138!!!

They have called 8 times since Friday. No reputable company would leave messages or calls like this

They have been leaving several messages to my 82 year old Mom and claim there is a 'legal case against her name.'  And she needs to call back or have her attorney call back or 'she will suffer the consequences.' This has upset her! Each time was a woman's voice talking quickly and mumbling the 'company name'.

Received similar message twice and threatening if not call them back during business hours, will ---------, called back, nobody answered.  Good know I am not the only one.
