The credit card person said it was an insurance co. that I had insurer something. Which I hadn't . credit card had it cancelled.  The bill said:

This number showed up on my credit card bill for $24.95 for one month and said it was charged in person in Tennessee.  I called because I had not been to Tennessee or made this purchase.  When you call the number their is no name for the company and said it was for insurance.  I had to cancel the credit card.  My bill stated: ABG*AD&DINS#741543137; 855-882-9536, TN 370270000US; In-person transaction.  Watch your credit card bills for this scam.

I just got the same charge on my Chase card for 16.50. Again, something about insurance. I had never authorized this and my cc company was very good about taking it off of my card and marking it as fraud.

This number showed up on my bank debit card today. amount was for $24.75 ..the exact same amount I had use earlier at a local tanning  center. I am wondering if a card processing center has been compromised.

Got a debit on our Savings Account for $148.50 and it shows ACH DEBIT for AD&D (Insurance?)... with the phone number 8558829536. I tried to call but it says "our office is closed right now please call back" and hangs up. No company name, no nothing. Never signed up for any $5.00 check (scam!) and never would use this account to get an automatic debit. Called my bank today so they are forwarding this to their Security dept. and placed a stop payment on that amount. What is going on???

noticed it on my checking statement coming straight out via ACH every 3 months.  This is an insurance company-- there was no fraud.  Apparently I had signed up for some Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage.  Call the number up and give them the following 9 digit # on your statement and they will cancel your coverage if you wish.

They charged my chase card $16.50 with the Phone number 855 882 9536. I know I did not buy any insurancew. I would not by accidental death insurance. I called this company they are scammers. I informed Chase and they are blocking this company from ever charging my card. Again I did not buy any insurance.

I have this number on my bank statement, and when I called the number up they said it was a accidental death and dismemberment insurance policy that I took out in 2003. They claim that I took out a policy, and when I asked them for a copy of the policy with my signature on it they said that they will send me a copy of it. It should take between ten and fifteen business days to come in the mail.

This was on June 24th 2014, and it is more than fifteen business days since they claim to have sent it. I called them up about ten times during that period, and each time they kept making excuses  about it taking time to reach me by U.S. Mail. July 17 I called again and their supervisor claimed that the original document that was suppose to be sent on the 24th of June never was sent. So somebody lied to me about it and kept up the lie until today. They claim they sent it out again on the 16th of July 2014 and it should be here ten to fifteen business days AGAIN!! When I asked if they could fax or email a copy to me they said that their company doesn't have email capability. What type of fly-by night company doesn't have email capability? It doesn't sound like a legitimate business to me. I am going to pursue this as far as it will go. It is over two hundred dollars since they claim that I took out the policy. I never took notice to it until a year ago, and thought it was a different insurance policy until I had to check it out. The company is Monumental Life out of Nashville, Tn. I don't remember taking this policy out and why can't they show proof that I took it out instead of making excuses about showing me the signature of mine.

Tell them to send you a copy of the original policy with your own signature on it authorizing the policy that they have on you. And don't EVER take their word on it either. See the proof yourself.

I just received an offer for insurance by mail. A bank in another state, with whom I haven't had an account in 15 years, provided free AD&D coverage provided by The Hartford. They claim that they have taken over the insurance coverage and are offering me a real deal for additional coverage. As I said, I haven't had an account with this bank for 15 years and have not resided in that state for 4 years. Very curious as to how they got my current mailing address. I am reluctant to call them having read the comments here. Perhaps I will refer this to the State's AttourneyGeneral.

I get this as a charge on my chase credit card for $24.75 every month!  After the date charged, they list it as: Sale  ABG*AD&DINS#740969794, then, next line is: 855-882-9536, TN (then 9 numbers followed by US). The 2nd 9 numbers are not the same as the first 9 numbers. The third line is: Online, Mail, or Telephone Transaction
This is out and out fraud! I never took out insurance or anything else from them! It makes me just sick to see how many scams there are going on robbing us of our money without any problem at all! One would think these banks we have our credit cards with would recognize these scam outfits and look out for their customers by doing something about it rather than just let the charges go through every month! How do we get these scammers to stop, let alone, to refund our money they have stolen from us?! Calling them doesn't seem to get any results. Some charge cards never have any of these fraudulent charges show up on their statements, and then there are some that let several fraudulent charges go through. Why is that?!
In this particular case, the scammer using this phone number seems to be either charging this to chase credit cards and/or taking it directly out of our bank accounts! Curious............

My wife and I have $16.50 charge on each of our of our checking accounts for AD&D insurance. We started checking and  the charge goes back for two years. My wife and I assumed each other had some type of insurance that each other had taken out. My wife called and checked and when she spoke to someone they stated they would mail her the money back. I had the number run through law enforcement and the number does not show up in any data base. The person on the phone that my wife talked with said his name was Ricky but he could not speak good English at all. I guess its time to close out the bank account and try to open up another one. Thief's they all need to die in their sleep.

The charge on my credit card was a surprise, too. However, I did figure out what happened. Many years ago, I did get the offer for insurance from HSBC. Several credit card companies and banks offer their customers free insurance, usually a small benefit for one person, but you can either increase the amount or add family members and then they charge a fee. I added one person for a small amount. As long as it was charged on the HSBC card, I knew what it was. Then HSBC was taken over by a different company. That was when I forgot what it was because I didn't recognize the acronym AD&DINS. "Dins" didn't strike me as "Insurance." So, bottom line, in the case of my card, it is a legitimate charge. Maybe not one I want to continue paying, but legitimate.
