- cmp| 2 repliesI received the same mailing. However, the number was different on mine 1-855-878-9385 it says it's from Cheap tickets and then on the back it states that they are not sponsored by or affiliated with Cheap Tickets and any trademarks are used for illustrative purposes. Also, I find it a bit fishy when the from address states 1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Ste. 190 #302 Washington, DC 20004 yet, the check says Port Orange, FL 32128.
- Jacob family replies to Grateful citizenTheir "new number" (same mssg and address) is 855-878/9385
- Jessica replies to Third oneThat's scary because although I live in Georgia, I'm from Port Orange. My "check" had PO on it as well
- Amanda replies to cmp| 1 replyI just got the same letter today. My bs detector went off right away. It was mailed from West Palm Beach and says exactly the same thing yours does.
- nadine replies to AmandaI just received one today with a one thousand dollars to be redeemed for airfare or alternate travel certificate...I am going to call them tomorrow just for fun...and can't wait to talk to the crook on the other line !!!!!!!!!
- G.L. replies to Anonymous Too| 9 repliesApril 1, 2015: Just received a letter with the same characteristics as below; it says OFFICIAL DOCUMENT and stamped "Final Attempt". The return address is 1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW Set 190 #302, Washington, DC 20004. The telephone number is different but I suspect the same type of scam. The letter includes a V.I.N. Gauge CodeKase (pull the tab to reveal a lighted number) that would match with a scratchable circle. Surprisingly the numbers match ! . It further states to call the number 844-663-1388 to find out the prize won out of four different options (Toyota Prius or $ 25,000 Cash - Samsung 51" 3D Plasma TV - New Apple iPad Air - 7 night Royal Caribbean cruise with airfare for 2). It has a "scribble" as a signature with the title of General Manager plus a picture of a Prius with the Toyota logo. Wonderful prizes or ... are they ? The telephone code 844 does to exist in the USA but in India [Mobile Number 8446631388Service Provider Tata DOCOMO Area MAHARASHTRA (GSM )]. Be aware of this scam.
- BrianI got a letter with this phone number to call. The letter said it was from Toyota and that I was a finalist in winning one of 4 prizes from a new Toyota Prius to a 7 night cruise. It is nothing more than a ploy to get you to sit through a time share hard sell.

Different number though 844-663-1450 - Ron replies to OlddogIf it sounds to good to be true.... it almost always is I was told I had to go to a meeting at The Marriot Hotel in town....yeah sure....another lame scam.
- deeReply to G.L. et al.: Received same letter today, verbatim as yours. However, phone number to call is 844-663-1453 Offer Code: 1532.
This is disturbing also from; http://areacode.org/844. Area Code 844 Detail:
Area code 844 is a future area code reserved for toll-free calls in which the calling party is not charged. Instead, the telephone carrier charges the cost of the call to the called party. Toll-free numbers, such as 7844 numbers, have applications such as technical support, customer service, and personal use. Note: "...carrier charges the cost of the call to the CALLED party...". That seems a mite unfair...
Also, in the very fine print on the back of my letter is the Company name: Grand Discovery, Simpsonville, SC. I looked them up on Google and they are located at 118 Allawood Court, Simpsonville, South Carolina 29681. No phone number. Time Share operation. They have five different locations and all of them on the maps look like a typical storefront operation. Only one phone number is listed and that is for their Asheville NC location. Their Fort Mill location is listed on RipOffReport for one poor soul that is trying to get his $3K back! One fellow on Yelp, $6995.00 for a 4-week package. Oh, Joy! There are many sites with people desperately trying to get their money back from this outfit. BBB states that complaints are "resolved" due to the "Company" acting in "good faith" to resolve them. In the company responses the statement repeated over and over is "No Refunds"; "No Cancellations"; Customer read and signed the contract". How sad.
It seems obvious to me that the ONLY thing you will "win" is the Royal Caribbean Cruise if you use poor judgment and call this "business".
I guess the "Grand Poo-Bah" of this entire operation is located on Pennsylvania Avenue...just three miles from the White House. Hmmm... The only "Grand Discovery" you will gain from this is when you open your wallet and it is empty.- Caller: Grand Discovery

- shellynnmoz replies to G.L.| 1 replyGot almost the same one! My was a ford exployer, etc.
- leslie replies to shellynnmozGot the one for a Ford Explorer & Garage CodeKase, thanks for information! What a scam!
- jtr1300 Pennsylvania Ave NW Ste 190, Washington, DC 20004 is a UPS Store. These people are using a box number at the UPS store to make themselves look more Washington DC "official".
- PrincesaSame as listed above... pull the tab from the VIN Code LED mailed from the UPS Store at 1300 Pennsylvania and if the VIN matches your 6 digit scratch off you're a winner! ... Just like everyone else. The vehicle offered in the scam I was mailed was a 2015 Lincoln, for the record.
