    Innocent Victim
These imbeciles can't understand telephone companies reuse phone numbers.

No matter how many times I explain they can call the telco to confirm the number has been reassigned, they continue to call.

And debt collectors wonder why they rate below hookers, politicians, used car salesmen, garbagemen, and other undesirable occupations.

They keep calling, never leave a message. I see others mentioned a collection agency called Amshare, not sure, like I said never answer but I'm not aware of anything I'm behind on. So as long as they don't leave a message, must not be that important.

    Not-a-sucker
I looked up the caller's phone# 877-322-9724 on the internet. It did not match up to a legit company Amsher Collection Agency nor its numbers. Searched more and found scam/bogus name; it matched to Insure Credit Bureau. On voice message, these scammers leave the name Amsure/Amsher to confuse us. One more number to check: 855-894-1090. Beware: these idiots are also using other names, even government-related such as IRS and Post office package. If they don't send a written paper to your address, ignore the calls! They have scammed many by meeting in person at local public places (not even an office) and have taken their money. Don't get fooled!

Recorded message from Amshare asking me to call back.  When I did I got a busy signal.  I have had my phone number for over 11 years and have zero debt.  Something's fishy and will ignore from now on.

Went thru all the calling a year ago...ceased for few months and have now started again irrespective of our "identity clarification" call last year.Perhaps federal investigation and prosecution is needed to send these perps on their way back into the grass.

Read the following and make complaints as well as send cease and desist letters by certified, return receipt mail
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

They have called me 3+ times in the last two weeks, then just hang up when I answer.  I suspected they were just verifying my number so they could sell it to scammers, spammers, and junk mail lists.
