caller indicated irregularity on my debit card and asked for a call back

This is a fraud company for banks and call if there is suspicious activity on your account. If your charges are you then nothing happens, if it’s not charges from you they freeze your card and you need to have another card issued by your bank.

this number is legit.  Fraud control for my credit union FCCU and probably others.

It may be legit but that doesn't mean scammers aren't spoofing it. Besides, if you already know who called you, why would you look up the number?

I too have FCCU as does my brother.  Debit cards stopped working Fri 4/3/20 this number called Saturday morning but didn't answer because I did not know who it was. My card started working Saturday but his still does not work. Did they say what happened and why the cards stopped working. Lucky for us my card started working or we'd be SOL till Monday morning when the bank drive-tru opens

I thought it was a scam, so I called my local bank, not the number they provided. Turns out someone had tried to illegally use my debit card. I'm grateful they caught it! I recommend calling your local bank though, because better safe than sorry.

You already know who called you so why are you here? Do you often look up known phone numbers?

I checked online to see where this number was from. Some says credit union and some says it was a scam. I called my bank they told me they couldn't tell me but gave me a number just in case and they catch someone trying to use my debit car for almost 3000 to buy  a shoes. Not sure why some people are saying this is a scam number. It is not. I am so glad they catch that for me. Although in this pandemic I don't have that amount in it, would have been devastating. I will save this number.  Thank you so much.

THEY ARE NOT A SCAM .They called me after I had made an unusual transaction  on a foreign site, and they listed all my most recent transactions   asking  if I was unaware of any of them (which i was not) l .  I called my bank (credit union) who confirmed that  they do use this company  to make sure there was no fraudulent activity on my card.

"THEY ARE NOT A SCAM" except when they are. Have you never heard of phone number spoofing? And why are you even here? Do you often look up known phone numbers?

I agree with you, Tygerkat. If they knew the number was valid, why look it up? Sounds to me like scammers trying to make their scam look legit. Asshats.

I was suspicious of the number because in the call to warn me about the fraud the person did not use my name. They used the name of female and a last name that phonetically sounded like my last name but it wasn't. They did call minutes after I had  used an atm. The card did get locked. I called my bank because I was spooked by the message from this number. The bank confirmed my account had been locked but they had no record of having called or sent me a text.

It was credit card services from my credit union.  Someone used my debit card to make fraudulent charges so they notified me.

It's legit.  I called my credit union about it and didn't give info to the incoming call.  They gave me a number to call back and the call was confirmed as legit.

So, you expect us to believe that you took time out from JLo to tell us that you had signed up for these texts, that you received one and that it was legitimate?  Yeah, somehow I don't think there is one word of truth in that post.
