- DavidGot a call from this # stating the same as above. However FCCU said it was NOT them that made the call and not to give them any info.
- TomGot 2 calls from this number right after my bank contacted me about fraudulent use of my debit card. I did not answer the calls because I did not recognize the number AND it didn't match the number that my bank said they would call me from. I suspect, based on what I am reading here, that it is the scammers themselves either trying to get more info or find a way to get my card reactivated.

- deegeeunknown call to my cell phone. hung up without really answering it. However, the call arrived about an hour after I got a text telling me about unauthorized activity on a card ending in xxxx but it wasn't any of my credit or debit cards. The call and text might be legit but the card number in question (from the text, unknown on the call) isn't mine.

- Caller: ATT
- Call type: Telemarketer
- NoTrustThe number is legit, just like others have reported, fraud detection company contracted by my credit union.
Didn't answer first call to my primary cell, did answer when same number called my second cell soon after first call as both numbers are known by very few. It was a recording about some suspicious activity on my debit card (it gave the last 4 digits of card). Also received 2 test messages about the suspicious activity.
Still didn't trust, did nothing until I got home. I cross checked the numbers with info from my Credit Union web site, got a match then called. Confirmed the 2 suspicious transactions from Baltimore on debit card were not mine, card now blocked.- Caller: Credit Union fraud monitoring

- CarmenG's| 1 replyCame up at potential spam, so I didn't answer. Saw they left a voice-mail, so I listen to it. Says there has been fraud detected on my card that ended in ****. I had just booked a hotel for a few days away and the minute I hit the reservation button, my phone rang. I came here to read these reviews to see if it was legit, and thanks to most of you saying it's legit, I called my bank first thing the next morning, and sure enough, they flagged that hotel reservation!!! I hadn't tried to use my debit card, but apparently it wouldn't have worked, they had shut it off. Verified it was in fact me that made that purchase and they turned my card back on.
- Call type: Valid
- Nimrod replies to CarmenG'sLet me get this straight...
Although you had not used your debit card to reserve the hotel, the bank had shut it off because they flagged a hotel reservation that was not connected to the card. And then they reactivated your debit card because you verified the purchase of a hotel stay that was not paid for by that same card that you did not use.
There seem to be a lot of shills posting on this thread, but yours is probably the least believable of all those other unbelievable stories. - ShayReceived a call from this number and didn’t trust it. Was all automated. I called my bank and it was legit. I wouldn’t reply/answer these. If you receive a call like this, it’s always best to call your bank directly. My bank card was on hold, due to a duplicate charge my pets insurance tried to do.

- Anonym| 1 replyThis is a scam. No validity, no matter what some other posters say. It's a very simple scam to get your credit card number so the scammers can steal your money. Kind of a "duh" thing here. Only real morons would fall for it, and only fellow scammers would claim it's legit/valid.
A tipoff that it's bogus is to call the number back from the same phone they called you on, then the automated system will look up your caller id, and then say they find no account. Duh.
Another tipoff, always useful for any calls you get, is that they don't identify themselves. Another duh.- Caller: unknown scammer

- Jim MIt is a legitimate number. The ATM in my building sometimes acts a bit flaky like it did today. I withdrew $200 and within 15 seconds I received a text asking if I made this transaction. A few hours later I received the phone call and they asked if I withdrew $200. How would a scammer know the exact amount and type of transaction I just made
- Call type: Valid
- Jim M replies to AnonymThey never asked for my card number, In fact they said it was in reference to a card number that ends in (last four digits)
- What A CrockCaller on behalf of my Credit Union asked did I recognize 5 charges on my debit card from 3 days prior. I said the first one definitely not authorized by me. Turns out the transaction the agent referenced was from over a year ago. I took care of it directly with the company back when it happened. Now Im left with no
Debitt card for a week and this 855 959178 is padding their stats of preventing fraud that in my case did not occur. WTF why else would they be deceptive of the actuall date the charge occured.- Caller: Credit service something
