I did not receive a call from them but a warning came up on my computer screen that told me to call the #. I didn't call it because I thought it might be a hacker.

This is a scam do nit call back the number they scam u out everything.

Wow what a scam just unplug your computer and restart it if u have the fake virus. Or just clear your cookies this scammers are in the Middle East looking for victims to call

The number is a scam and they use team viewer. One of the scammers name is Wlter

Same thing just happened to me when I clicked to watch a cute video on facebook, but I 'did' call the number. Accented man with a  bunch of other people talking in the background. It looked like a legit pop-up to call a technician. He wanted to run a diagnostic test to check the problem - BIG QUE right there it's not legit. I told him I had no idea who he was and I'd just take my laptop to Best Buy instead.  It was very difficult to stop the pop-up and blue screen but I 'shut down' and restarted and it's fine.  It warned 'not' to shut down or my personal info could be compromised - bla blah blah.... it's fine - it's a SCAM.....
