I keep getting calls from "856-925-1180" but when I call back I am informed the number is disconnected/not in service. I also get the "Mary B" reference and that she owes money. Caller states "This is a call for Mary B, if you are not Mary B hang up in the next 3 seconds"(otherwise you acknowledge you are Mary B). {What kind of call is this??}. Seems like harassment/scam. Where is the FCC in all of this???

Call from 856-925-1180 asking for a person who is not at this number, stating she owes some debt. Shows up as "SRA Associates"; computer recording states "If you are not XXX hang up in the next 3 sconds." I hve received multiple calls, and have "hung up" in the 3 seconds each time, bu I keep getting calls from this number.

"Jack Daniels"??? Come on, this is clearly a scam..most likely Nigerian.

I've been getting the calls for a month or so.  I just called Jack Daniels on his cell (856)397-0973.  He asked me for my phone number and the name of the person they were calling for.  He apologized and said they would remove it within a couple days.  We'll see.........

SRA 800-735-0552 has been calling me for over a yearday & night, they fill up my answering machine memory with a message to collect on a debt for someone I have never heard of!
I have returned the call & explained I have never heard of the person in question & given the account number provided.I begged them to stop the calls.
I get promises that the calls would now stop but they never do!

They started calling me a couple of days ago. after googleing the number it led to this site which led me sra asscociates. I called them and told them to take me off. They asked me if I was Robert someone. I said no. So they said no problem and they would take me off the list. I can only hope.

They keep calling my voicemail # on grandcentral.com leaving messages for KIA JACKSON (if that is how you spell it).  I dont care since its a free voicemail # but I wish it would stop..

We have been receiving 3 or more calls per day from this number at our new office phone.  It is an automated call looking for an individual we do not know.  When I try to call back, I get a recording saying the number is disconnected.  After some research, I learned the call is originating from SRA Associates, a collection agency in New Jersey.  From their website, I found a phone number to call 800-735-0552 and got our number removed.  So everyone, call them and get your number removed.  Should be reported to a Federal Agency, under the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practice Act!

they call at all hours and leave the same crazy message. I wait the three seconds but they still call me. Leave me alone... you are very annoying!!!

I have been getting a voice mail on my cell phone from 865-925-1180 almost daily. I'm never able to answer the phone when they're calling unfortunately. The message states that the call is for "Carl Lynn" and that if I am not Carl Lynn, there will be a 3 second pause and I should hang up.

After reading everyone else's messages, I called:

Toll Free(800)735-0552 and acted mad (it didn't take much acting, really). The guy told me to tell them they had the wrong number the next time it happened. I explained that I always get the voice mails saying the above. He even helped me finish the sentence when I talked about the 3 second pause. I asked him to look me up and delete me.  

He actually did.  Time will only tell whether it worked or not.

ANNOYING!!!!!!! calls every day i have had my voice mail turned off because of this type of BS. Wasted several minutes trying to return calls and recording says number is disconnected or no longer in service. I am actually afraid to leave this message thinking this website may be a scam of some kind! Technology sucks!

They called me as well and each time I get a recording that says then you should hang up the phone if your not so and so and then within a split second says since you did not hang up you confirm that you are so and so and should call them back immediately. I hung up and called back the non working number as well. I then did answer the following time and pressed 0, # and * so don't know which one was the working button, but i got a rep on the line and ended the calls advising me I'm not related to the person they seek.  This a third party debt collector and use automated dialers to make the calls on a daily basis. If you send in writing that you are not the person and specifically state do not call me as you will report it to the fcc they by law must stop all communications. Its a cease communication letter and if they call anyway they will be fined if reported on the fcc website.

The number 856-925-1180 has been calling me almost daily for the past month saying "If you are not Mary B. press 3 to take your number out" or whatever they say.... but they only leave that message if it goes to voicemail... if i pick up they say nothing? so im getting mad lol

ok i just called the (800)735-0552 and they told me i will not receive anymore calls... i'll believe it when i see it

I was told that their system automatically places 856 for the area code- it if was data entered incorrectly or didn't have one.....so if someone in another state has your number (but different area code)- they will call your #. I called and the lady was nice and fixed it. Hopefully that will be the end of that!

Receiving calls every day/every other day looking for "James Brian MacAffee".  They are calling a business line, and no one by that name has ever worked here.  i had presumed if I hung in 3 seconds they would stop calling, but they do not.

Please report these non English speaking people to all Agencies that deal with phone harrassment/complaints.  I have reported them to the FTC, FCC, the Attorney General office is New Jersey, XO Communications that is listed as the provider,Police Department (get a case number)dateline, etc.  Someone stating his name is Kevin Jones, have excessively called my work number, and as others have noted he will not state his company affilation, nor is that his real name.  When I called back giving my name and wasking what is the nature of the call-another non speaking (Indian/parkistan) male said he was Kevin J. supervisor.  I asked to take my name/number of whatever list he had.  I told him the messages were threatening, intimating, annoying, etc.  He then said to me F_U.  They leave a number to call back as 949-682-1305, and when I tried to call back after her cursed at me..the call went into voicemail. I have told them they are being recorded and they stopped calling for 1 week. Today April 21, 2008, the calls have started again.
Anyone that reads this,and write letters to ALL agencies you can think of-they must be stopped.  I don't owe nothing to these people, and whatever you do--do not give any personal information to them about yourself.

All day-all day is when these frauds call.  He told me the police were on their way to arrest me, and you can barely understand his words.  If you hang up-they call right back and it's disrupting to my workday.  I have NEVER been in trouble with the police or have had a warrant.  These are BS tatics.

I don't know what else to do, but write letters, contact my congressman if I have too, but I will continue to get to the bottom of these.

If you call after hours (approx. 10:15 pm) EST, the voice mail says 4066323-leave a message.  Other times you call someone will answer the phone "hello" other times you call they answer with accent and ask "your name/number/bank number".

Who are these annoying people and what do they want?  can anyone answer this.

This company violates the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (also known as Public Laws 95-109 and 99-361)by calling  about a 3rd party whom I do not know. The act states; “ a debt collector may not communicate, in connection with the collection of any debt, with any person other than a consumer, his attorney, a consumer reporting agency if otherwise permitted by law, the creditor, the attorney of the creditor, or the attorney of the debt collector.” In my case I am none of the above. They also violate the Do Not call Registry Act. it states, ”if a consumer asks a company not to call, the company may not call, even if there is an established business relationship” In this case there is no relationship and never was. The law goes on to say;” indeed, a company may not call a consumer - regardless of whether the consumer's number is on the registry - if the consumer has asked to be put on the company's own do not call list.” The FTC says although the law is aimed at Telemarketers, it holds true for any company who hasn’t had a relationship with you due to the fact the calls aren’t solicited, which makes the calls, de facto Telemarketing calls. To end the harassment you MUST send a cease and desist letter by registered mail(keep a copy for your records.).In the letter give the phone number they are contacting, the name of the person they are trying to contact and tell them to cease and desist from any further contact. Make them aware you will contact the State Attorney General, the FTC, the FCC and the Do Not Call Registry. Tell them any further contact will result in a letter from the state AG and your lawyer. You have grounds to sue if they contact you again.It is also a good idea to record all phone calls for your records. Remeber to send the letter registered mail so they have to sign for it.
