- Pamela LeruthThey keep calling, leave no message despite being on do not call list.
- Caller: Don't know
- RichWhen you get a call showing a city, town or state it’s a 99.9% chance to be a scam; ditto for “unavailable” or
“out of area.” Just don’t answer it and they’ll move on to the next number- Caller: Massachusetts
- Joan| 1 replyDo not call me. No scam calls !!

- no more land line replies to Mariewell Verizon won't be getting my 100 bucks a month any more-I called and canceled my land line-I'm sure they won;t miss my monthly contribution with ridiculous fees, but I feel better- 98% of the calls I receive are ones like these, including some from my own phone number. Calls to the business office fall on deaf ears. So now I have 2 is a pay as you go 4g's-one is a business cell that I give out when a phone number is required and the other is for family and friends and no one else. I do get a few spammers on the public cell but not like I received on the landline.
- jaclyn replies to DonThe Do-Not-Call registry is the reason you are getting these robo calls. The list is sent to legitimate company's but of course, as per usual, the information is leaked to illigitmate companys who then sell, sell, sell, that list.
- jaclynI don't answer any numbers I don't recognize, I immediately grab my computer and search the number to see if it's legit. If it is, I pick up, if not I let it swicth over to my fax machine which is on the same line. This has cut down on at least 60% of the robocalls i was getting

- BostonHolly replies to Ken| 1 replyI didn't know that ! I thought 857 was a generic, free, area code for cell callers. huh. thanks to Ken and Paul. I didn't realize that blocking and calling a toll free caller would show my number anyway, tho it had crossed my mind as a logical reason not to call, but I receive about 50 calls a month which are not verifiable here or on any website and could actually be legit - you won't believe how many people find voice mail too confusing to bother leaving a message. Oh well, won't do that again, thanks guys.
- Pinzthis is the Eversource competitor ringing from one of their many phony phone numbers. Beware if you were ever to sign up with these third tier criminals....you could face huge charges. Read the fine print.
- Caller: Wankerz 'r' Us, Inc.

- KenWe got a call again from this number today at 7:38 pm, and it was again blocked by our call blocker. The caller ID has always been MASSACHUSETTS. This is the fourth time they have called. They called on 30 Jul, 24 Aug, and 5 Sep 2016. Please see my posts of those dates. After the first call their number was added to our call blocker. I highly recommend such a device to avoid these nuisances. They need to revise their robocalling software to eliminate numbers which block their calls.

- psnoOK- I have been posting this about all these calls. If you do the following, you can reduce these calls considerably, and eventually they'll consider your number to be inactive.
First and foremost NEVER-EVER answer the call if you don't recognize the number. When you answer it just verifies your number is active and it will be sold to others who will also call.
Secondly DO NOT EVER fall for their ploy of being added to their “do not call list” because- once again- it only verifies your number is active and it will be sold, thereby increasing the calls.
This is what I did and it is VERY effective:
1) Check to see if your phone service offers “Selective Call Forwarding”. On my phone you dial *63. This service allows you to forward calls that you designate to any other number anywhere.
2) Compile a list of the annoying numbers and designate any one of the annoying numbers as the number to forward the calls to.
3) If you do this correctly, the moron calls will then be automatically forwarded to another moron. Your phone won't even ring! You can even forward them to a company that's out of business or even your worst enemy.
As time goes on, you may have to review the numbers and add or delete new numbers. I did this for about 6 months and have reduced my moron calls from several a day to one or two a week. Eventually they will think your number is inactive and will drop you from their lists. The good news? NO ONE can get around this like they can with the government’s impotent “do not call list”. If this works for you, please feel free to pass it along and together we can all keep the morons guessing.
Enjoy!! - Cinthia TorresCalled me I don't know who this is.
- Call type: Telemarketer
- edieCalled me -- also showed up as "Massachusetts" with the # on my caller ID. Since I have family in MA, I answered (I usually don't if I don't recognize the #). Heavily accented man started talking about medical compensation I can receive. I said sorry and hung up.
