Don't ever give them any information. Sometimes they can have everything but the last 4. He did the same thing to me and said he was collecting for a Wal Mart account. Don't have one and hung up.

Did not answer. Caller ID is unknown. I will never answer unknown. I am 100% debt free so if collecting is big scam. Called 3 times same day.

Bottom feeder debt collection agency. Junk Debt Buyer. Doesnt want to follow FDCRA or TCPA laws.

Called my work and asked for someone else.  I called the number back and it was answered as Midland Credit.

Man Called said they were a debt collector wanted to settle a debt they wanted make arrangements to settle the debt he wanted my checking account number my check routing number and my debit card number I told him no man said we can't help you then i said ok bye And just hung up he called agin same man different number a day later from San Diego California

Called asking for Mr Anderson. I told him no, there wasn't a Mr Anderson here. He said it was a call regarding a business matter and he needed to speak to Johnathan Anderson. I again told him that this was Stephanie Johnson. He responded with "can I leaveJohnathan a message?" And I said "I don't know a Johnathan Anderson" and he said "Oh you don't? I have your number for some reason". I simply answered no I didn't. He then hung up with a goodbye or an apology.

Hung up without* an apology or goodbye.

Caller ID = "UNKNOWN NAME," always a red flag. Live caller with Indian accent asked for "Chris." I told him there is no Chris here. Then he repeated the name "Chris" with my last name and asked if I knew of him. Nope. Possibly a debt collector or worse, a crook.

Loser collection companies calling themselves United Courier.  The woman leaves a voicemail saying she is a certified process server and the cook county prosecutors want to prosecute me and she has to serve the felony papers.........Really?  She knows my name but the threat X 2 just cost them $2000.00.  I called back and asked what the problem was and then they would not give me any information without "verifying" my social security and address.

I wired a light to my phone so all I see is the blinking light for incoming
call. Much more pleasant than the stupid ringing.
I only answer numbers that I know.

Got the call, didn't answer.  Thanks for the heads up.  Blocked it

Got a call that showed up from San Diego.  Did not answer.  They left a message which when I listened to it appears that they did not disconnect.  Heard about 2 minutes of lots of people apparently calling other people then it disconnected.  Obviously some type of call center.

caller id said Midland Credit. They didn't leave message on voicemail just heard people taking in background - sounds like a boiler room call center. I don't know them. Number blocked now.

same as everyone else. they called I didn't answer, 4 sec voicemail with no talking and lots of background noise. i just blocked the # after reading all the post here

Got a call from this number on my cell but didn't answer. No VM. Five minute later my mom calls asking if I know anyone in San Diego! (I don't.) they called her pretending to me my friend. She told them no one by that name lived there. I've warned other family members. Guessing this is some kind of scam.

Party with a thick acent called work number asking for party that was not here.  You can tell there were a lot of other calls being made by the amount of noise in the background They identified the correct business they were calling and said she works here - I said I needed more info, as it could be another facility.  I then asked what it was in reference to and if I could help - and said they had to  speak with her and hung up.  Well the number is now blacklisted -Bam
