I saw a comment regarding the legitimacy of Midland Credit Management. I'm just wondering how the company has an A- rating with the BBB. Did I read that right? How is that possible if they are threatening people?! I owe nothing to no one and neither does anyone in my household...so they're barkin' up the wrong tree here. Scum of the earth.

Called asking questions

Asking for people that never worked here. Must be debt collectors. Told them this is a business and to stop calling.

Calls almost everyday, and on the days they do call, they call multiple times asking for someone who I do not know. After I tell them they have the wrong number and to stop calling, he gets very aggressive and tells me I’m lying? Have tried to block the number multiple times but they still continue to call from same company, just different number!

If you don't know anyone in the 858 area code, block the whole thing. And read the post from BigA at the top of the page. He gives good advice.

bogus collection call - claimed citibank account - I have never used citibank and have one visa card through my bank

Called it back said this number has been disconnected. What kind of bill collectors have a number you can call back. I think it's a scammer

Calls everyday, multiple times a day, doesn't leave a message.

Called our biz landline 1:46 p.m. PST 3/23/18, left no message.

Proceeded to harass employees at the company I work for. Then would immediately call cell phone. They would not leave any messages.

This is the third call in a few weeks.  They are MCM looking for someone not at this number "Christian Torres".  I said "wrong "number".  He then gave me the third degree basically saying I was lying and wrong because he's dialing this number and it's for Christian Torres - asked who I was and how long I've had this number.  When I told them it was none of their business, I am not who they are looking for and to remove this number from their call list guy got angry and said it is his business.  Guy got agitating when I started questioning him about who he was and what his "business" does.

Silent Call

This number keeps calling my cell and work number. They never leave a message.

That happened to me too first it was this number then I dint pick up, and they called  Anonymous !

this # has called my #, my daughters #. They Talk so fast the only thing you can do is hang up. SCAM!!

Called left NO message.  Blocked.

I almost NEVER answer telemarketer calls however we have recently received so many calls from scammer/telemarketers/collectors, that I decided to pick up the phone.  A woman with a strong East Indian accent asked if I was "John Thomas."  I said "no" and I went on to express my thoughts about her call, in the foulest of terms.  The woman asked if that's how I speak to people?  I answered "yes, to scammers and telemarketers."  Clearly, the woman was taken aback.  Finally, she asked if I knew John Thomas.  My answer was "If I knew a John Thomas, I would not tell you."  She got POed and hung up.  Have now blocked ALL calls from the 858 area code.

Called 3 of my executives, one line twice = I have to answer - no one responded.  They are more than annoying as I had to put more important and critical calls to take these.  They will be put on our do not call database to be blocked.
