- pissedoffearlyintheamWhile they called me way too early in the morning, this is not a scam CoreLogic Credit Co is legit. They are a third party looking in to your credit for your mortgage lender. My lender gave me a heads up that they would be calling, thankfully.
- Caller: CoreLogic Credit Co.
- Semper FiCalled my cell phone and left no message. I do not answer unsolicited calls.
- Caller: CoreLogic Credco ?
- Mortgage Loan Processor replies to TASHAThese are legit calls from Credco/CoreLogic. Typically an update to balances on your credit report has been requested. This is very common when you're in the process of purchasing or refinancing a home. Your mortgage loan company cannot request these items directly from your creditors - it must be done by a neutral 3rd party. I don't give Credco my borrower's phone numbers so they're forced to call me & then I can pass the information on to my borrowers so they know it's a legit request. If you receive a call from Credco & are in the process of purchasing or refinancing your home, contact your loan officer & ask if they have requested updated info on your credit report. If they or their processor hasn't, you can call Credco & tell them this.
- DM50315rlaLegit. Called my company for an employment verification.
- therealm| 7 repliesIt is a legit call ... some craters wont release your info unless you give them permission .Credco is a third party credit verification company. I'm glad i called back it was holding up my refinance.
- Caller: corelogic
- BigA replies to therealm| 6 repliesWhat does a "crater" have to do with a credit report? But we seem to have a lot of shills in this thread. Everyone looking up a number when they already know who it belongs to to rave about this company when there seems to be many complaints over the internet about them.
- MickeyNo VM after getting call. Blocked.
- Beware replies to Sylvon Dent| 4 repliesThey are LEACHES trying to get you to admit to an old debt. That way the creditors can pursue you again...JUST HANG UP!!!!
- Johan replies to BewareBetter yet, just do not answer. Get a call blocker.
- BEWARECore Logic LEACHES trying to get you to admit knowledge of an old debt. Once you verify information. you have essentially consented to be hounded for old debt. HANG UP. Tell them nothing....They don't speak English enough to be understood PART of the GAME... Hang up!!!! Block them...
- Call type: Debt collector
- big daddyI received a call from them about the process of my refinance. They are not a scam. Was pre-advised they might be calling from the refi company I'm using. Legitimate company.
- Caller: Credco
- babylily21thought it was automated but it wasn't.. first thing he asks me is he needs info on a customer account. i asked does he know what company he called and he never answered me besides asking that he needs info on a customers account.. don't know what they want but DO NOT ANSWER!!!!
- Caller: Intel Corp
- Kelly| 1 replyGot a call and the lady used my processor's name (for my current mortgage app) and stated that she needed to conference call my lender to verify that my previous mortgage loan was completely paid off. While on hold, I emailed with my current processor and he verified that this was correct, this was NOT a scam. They contact this company to have the previous mortgage payoff shown on the client's credit report for the new mortgage. Not a scam. They did not ask me for any information, they just wanted me to talk to someone from my lender (who I was able to verify as being from my lender) to give him permission to verify the previous mortgage payoff.
- Kelly replies to BigAOr people who have no clue what they are talking about trying to scare people b/c they choose not to answer a phone call. Or, b/c they have an old debt and they are scared they may actually have to pay their debts. This is a legitimate credit reporting company that assists many mortgage lenders in updating clients' credit reports.
- BigA replies to KellySo you knew who called you, answered, verified that it was this company, and then looked up the number anyway?
- RoyThis company is Core Logic, out of San Diego, California. They are service that the title or loan company uses Flood Insurance and Tax Property services and verifies information for our loan. I was told by our loan officer they would be calling. After I given information. I got a call from our loan officer that verification was done and that our documents will go to title.
- Caller: Core Logic
- TJThis is, indeed, Credco/CoreLogic. This call was legit because our mortgage company referred them to us for verification of information they needed for our home refinance. They were nice, professional and 100% calling for no other reason then to help close our loan.
- blankThis is a scam we researched the number back it is not corelogic crediit the are also using WFG, Equifax so if anyone think it is real keep on but dont give any info

- Mortgage Employee replies to Beware| 2 repliesI work with this company on the regular. If you applied for a mortgage and are going through the process, this is a company who might be calling you to move the mortgage along. You probably already paid for the service as part of your mortgage fees. If you don't do the call, it will probably slow down your mortgage process. It is usually not requested unless it is needed to qualify you.
- Mortgage Employee replies to BigA| 4 repliesYeah I came here cause I didn't recognize the number, but they were calling me to answer my question. I saw people being suspicious of them and need to correct that. If people refuse to cooperate, that's totally fine, but it could end up costing them thousands of dollars or denying their mortgage if their rate lock expires before the call is completed. No pressure, just a legit reason to share the information here...
