You work for this company in the regular? What does that mean?  And what's the legal business name and phone number of this company?
If I should be getting a call from them i would think my mortgage company would tell me so I can expect the call and not slow down the mortgage process.

Who are you, who do you work for, and why are you calling me?  My mortgage is up to date, I have never had a delinquent payment, yet you have called me three times so far this week.  What do you want?

So what's the name of this company? And people should be suspicious of unexpected phone calls regarding finances. If someone gets a call such as this they should not give any information until they verify with their mortgage agent that this company is calling on their behalf. It's the smart thing to do.

Why you little snit, you just called me twice in a row and hung up on me.  Come on, be a man and tell me where you work you coward you.  Your probably too busy hiding under your bed afraid of the monsters that might get you.  Call me again, I will find out where you work and sue you the scum you work for into oblivion.

If they called 3x in week and you have been answering, you may be making your point the hard way.  Try a call blocker?
-- BTW,  if you do plan revenge, you will need to find out the actual physical location of the call center, and that can take some doing.  And they can be calling from overseas.  But Hope Springs Eternal and all that.  But you might want to cool it on the threats on message boards, FB, Twitter.. etc.  In case you do find the caller and things get out of hand, you want to keep your options open for your trial.

It's legit. But the caller ID says "INTEL CORP" The caller identified himself as CoreLogic and couldn't explain the discrepancy. Confusion could be avoided if the lender explained exactly who would be calling and that they would need to get your current mortgage holder on a conference call with you. Mine did not, so the first time I hung up on them. After an email and a phone call with the lender (which shouldn't have been necessary), I understood what was going on, called CoreLogic back with my reference # and all went smoothly.

Received a call on 3-7-2017.  I am not looking for a mortgage, refinance or anything to do with credit.  My house has been paid off for years.  Can't figure out how they got my cell phone # as I only give that number to family/friends.  Never reveal my cell # to any business.  I think this is a scam.

What if you are NOT trying for a mortgage or refi and you still receive calls from that number?

Then don't answer it. There is no law that says you have to answer every call. The world will not end.

Some sort of data collection company.  Appear to deal in real estate data.

Not clear exactly what they do or how they make their money.

Not clear why any finance company would need their services.

Seems scammy.  But may be totally legitimate.   More research is necessary.

Also, a little too many entries in this thread trying to tell us that Corelogic is not a scam.  Too many shill posts, if you ask me.

I wouldn't have anything to do with this company.  It's not clear to me, why a mortgage company or lender would require the services of this group.

This is not a scam. If you are getting a new loan, this company is the in between party that verifies with your old mortgage or Loan company your most current balance. If you do not take the call, your new loan company won't be able to have this most recent accurate information.

I have received over 10 emails from this number and has a file they want me to open.
I do not trust them and will be blocking them from my work email.

Weird thing is the I contacted our mortgage company and they said "DO NOT GIVE INFORMATION OUT!"  they did NOT request the information.  I think you contact the person you are working with to find out if it is legit!
