I just received a call and no message was left.  When I tried calling back, there was no answer.  They are clearly still making calls this year!

Called today from Mike:  "We are doing work on your street - then he named our street, ya-da ya-da."  When I asked what the address is, since we live on a street with only 10 houses, it changed to "we are doing inspections in your area for house exteriors and dual paned windows.  I told him we are on do not call list and don't need their services.  He was actually quite polite, but giant red flags went up.  Today is April 14, 2009, Fallbrook

I kept getting phone calls from this number as well. I called it back and after a few attempts got an answer. They are a Home Remodeling company, an exceptional one if you ever check out their website, which tries to give home owners like myself a free 19pt inspection and a free estimate good for a year on any type of exterior work. I don’t need any work and once I got a hold of them I simply asked that my number be removed from their list and that maybe in a few years they call back. This all took place a little while back and I haven’t received a phone call since, thank god!

I also asked for the guy on the phone to tell me how they can call me when I’m on the DNC list. He informed me that the DNC list doesn’t apply to them and after I researched this further I found that he was right. The stipulations on the DNC list protect small business's that aren’t selling anything or doing any kind o financial transactions over the phone, which they are not. So, I hate to say it, but they can still legally call you whether you are on the DNC or not. You can complain all you want but they aren’t breaking any laws. But the guy I spoke with was very informative and very nice. They have no problem taking your number off their list, and do it. I know of some other companies that say they will but don’t! So just call them up and ask for your number to be removed. It’s simple and easy, or just ignores the call. I really don’t think they are trying to harass anyone or do any harm.

Hey, I know, In stead of blogging here, why don't you research 858-225-1401.  They ARE calling people all over the U.S., not just THEIR state, selling prescription drugs, DO make transactions dealing with money and credit cards over the phone and they WILL NOT honor your request to take you off their list.  Not only that they call endlessly repeatedly many times a day driving people crazy and if you do a lil diggin, you'll find out how they got your # was through the National Organization of Pharmacists, a legitimate U.S. organization and who sold you out? Kroger, Walgreen's, Wal-Mart, to name a few.  These people aren't really calling from most of these #'s anyway, they are redirects from other countries.  Thanks to our fellow man who would rather employee foreign countries so they only have to pay that of slave trade in stead of employing millions of americans who probably need jobs. The whole thing is sick! And law agencies don't really care.

Same tactic here; they call but never leave a message.  They've called multiple times ...they just hang up (I will not answer calls from unknowns, ever).

It sure sounds like that "lawyer" might actually be one of the telemarketeers.  I was told that asking TMs to take you off their list is exactly what they're hoping you'll say because they then interpret that to mean as asking them to take you off of their do not call list!

I say report them to the BBB, the FCC and the Federal Trade Commission.  If they're in the wrong then they'll go after 'em.

What we REALLY need of our telephone carriers is to provide a way to block ALL numbers except those specifically given permission.  I haven't seen anything like that that doesn't provide the telephone urchins a way to get around.

Lawyer... learn to spell. Real lawyers don't have to say "I'm a lawyer," it is implied. Are you Star Jones?

My phone rang so I dropped what I was doing (since I am on call for important work). Missed the call so #69. Jake answered said he was calling all his appointments he had for today. We had no appointment w/ him and he became over bearing and was rude, then hung up. I called him back, asked him to take me off the calling list and again he hung up. Very rude and disturbing man. I am on the DNC list but this should be consisted harassment since it interferes w/ my life but more so my work. I agree w/ Emfad about reporting to BBB, FCC and the Federal Trade Commission but also some local TV stations

Annoying repetitive calls at least once a day.  This has been going on for months and is becoming a little annoying.  Fortunately, caller ID affords the visibility to decide whether or not to pick up.
