This has to be a scam. I just got a call and I have never had a citi card. The guy was down right rude and was asking all kinds of personal information. I just asked him if I had an account you tell me what my address is and he hung up.

I called back and waited on line for all the automated stuff till I got a live person.  I let them know I'm not a card holder but have been getting calls, gave them the phone number I have been receiving the call, the looked it up asked me a couple of questions (if I knew so and so...I don't) asked for my full name I said I rather not give that information so she said if I could give her my first name only, I did.  They appologized for the mistake and said they have deleted my number from the system.  So we will see if it really worked.  I'll keep you posted.

IT'S A SCAM!!! DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION!!!!, seem like they waiting call back to give a your information, when they call hang up after i say " Hello"

Has anyone reported this number the the FCC?

Did the FCC complaint work? This number is also calling me several times a day with no one there...

Annoying calls ?
Fact 1 - the DNC list CLEARLY does not work!  Everyone knows this...or should know this!
Fact 2 - filing a complaint with the FCC does not work!  A total waste of time.  Done that.
Fact 3 - having an unlisted phone will not help you.
Fact 4 - asking/begging telemarketers to take you off their call list does not work!
Fact 5 - no "class action" suits are filed and certainly, this is not a remedy.   Many of these telemarketers are in other countries and out of the jurisdiction of the USA.

Uniden and Panasonic make CALL BLOCKING telephones.  They’re cheap - $40-$60 and they usually come with a 2nd wireless handset, and they work beautifully!  These phones also block “PRIVATE”, “OUT OF AREA” and "UNKNOWN" calls!!!

Called ID-Kentucky.  This people wants to steal your SSID and Credit Card number.  He said that I have an amount due on my credit card.  They know which credit card you have (i.e. MC, AMEX, Visa). I told him that the info he had was false and that he was trying to steal my personal information, and he immediately hung up.  If your payment is past due, the bank will not call you.  They will add a very high fee to your account plus any interests.  Do not give personal information over the phone to anyone.  Call your bank and report this type of call.

People that fall to these predators & bottom feeders must be weak.

Called on a Sunday morning... picked up... silent.

This person called several times on Sataurday staritng at 8AM and hung up every time we answered.  Called again at * AM on Sunday asking for Gregory Walker and When I said it was me, hung up.  Th ee number called form  from was 859-283-8071

This person is calling at least twice a day.  I don't pick-up, or didn't until today.  No answer.  I did a reverse look up and it is a cell phone.  Then I did a search and find a 19 page thread about this phishing scam.  Please stop this caller.

I've got 6~7times call from this number. Someone said, it's citi credit card and I've got a over due something. I don't think so. It's terribly stressful.

I didn't pick up this call, but I checked Google and came here. I then checked my Citi account, and I had forgotten to pay last month's bill. I'd advise others not to pick up this call, but check your accounts for late payments anyway.

keep getting calls from this number and they either hang up when I answer or ask for someone else and then hang up if they aren't here.

I'm getting calls from this number and do not have a Citi account, never have had one.  They call at all hours and do not leave a message.

They called and said a paid payment was late.  Woman who called refused to give name and when asked for a return phone number the caller hung up.  Feels like an identity scam.  She initially said pay it now over the phone.  My wife  responded no, I will pay it on line where I can track it.  The woman who claimed she worked for Cit Bank  responded that I will have to call your husband because you are not authorized on the account and then she hung up.  Why would Citi Bank hire such rude individuals.  

859-283-8071 is a scam number.  Call Citi Bank directly from your invoice.  Never respond to these calls by giving any info over the phone.  Hang up and call the credit card company directly.

I too just received a call from this # on my cell I don't use my cell for business that's why I found it very strange. I ignored it.  Jan thank you for the information regarding this.

I just got six calls from them.  No message left. This is extremely annoying.

Problem is....I have NO outstanding bills.  Not mention, I DON'T have a citibank card.  So why the heck am I getting called from them?  Answer:  SCAM.
