This calls my work daily and no one is ever on the line.  Always hangs up after I answer.  How rude!

859-740-2334 keep harassing me. how do I get off their calling list?

The company is Big Fish SEM, a search engine marketing firm. They auto-call with a message that sounds like it is from Google, and it asks you to press "1". I did this just out of curiosity, which is how I got the company name. I found them on Google. The guy taking the call was only too happy to give me much more information about them than I gave them about me. On the website they have a spot where you can enter your number on a "Do Not Call" list. Since they were calling me several times a month, I didn't see any harm in putting myself on the list--it couldn't get worse. The pitch is designed to get you to buy search engine optimization, i.e. to get yourself on the first page of a Google search. I also talked with the guy for a long time, advising him that he needed to change our corporate phone number, which he did, and I gave him the number for the state mental institution. I also gave him a phony name for me, saying that the guy he was trying to call had left the company. I created a fictitious business name, told him that I was in the business of manufacturing and selling toys for small animals, and he bought the whole thing. I gave him a false address, that of a local tavern here in Fort Worth TX. All of this was a lot of fun, and although they may call me again, I'm happy as a retired person to waste their time and see how outrageous my questions and goofy information can get. I have used this tactic on several of the telemarketers with Florida and California numbers, some of whom are based outside the USA, and all I can tell you is that they stop calling me. It is important to get them to change your contact number in their data base! Then go to their website and get on the "do not call" list with the number they used to call you in the first place.

So I pressed 1 and waited a few minutes and spoke to a pleasant young woman. I asked her to remove my number. She said it would take up to 72 hours. We shall see. Unusual for one of the junk calling outfits...

Caller asked for the HR director, when I transferred her to him she transferred him to her supervisor who tried to get him to verify information for a Google listing to which he asked who had ordered the listing in the first place and they had the audacity to say that he did!  They wanted to charge us $1900 but when he said he did not have authority to authorize it they kept dropping the price.  They identified themselves as Veteran Services when they called that's why I sent them to him so watch out, these guys will do anything to get through.
I doubt that they were Google though as we use them and they deal with our IT dept only.

These people call my cell phone repeatedly and leave no message. I've picked up and it's a "free google listing" thing. I am on the no call list but they persist.

You can register on the national do not call registry and also lodge a complaint against this number. If they get enough maybe they'll do something about it? It's clearly a scam. I've tried several times to get off their list but they are rude and belligerent.

a recording said the call was about my "google profile". I called back to say do not call, but my call was disconnected after multiple rings.

The ONLY good thing about these f#$%@$s is that they always use the same number to call, so I added the number in the book, it says "[***]". I already have reported these MFs to FTC, hope they can shut these idiots' a$$es soon.

This company is harrassing me. I have repeatedly requested that they remove my number. They refuse. They are pushy & arrogant. I am on the National and State DO NOT CALL LISTS.

Keep getting calls from them, they either keep hanging up or saying they are from google it's driving me crazy!!!!

My caller id says it is coming from Butler, KY. Hung-up when answered.  This is not the first time they've called though. Receive calls from this number over the past 12 to 16 months, all with the same result of "hang-up" after answer. Freaky people out there!

These people call me 4-5 times a day. They are interrupting meetings and my business. I have waited on the line 10 times and asked them to stop calling me but everyday they continue to interrupting meetings and my business. Please make them stop, this is America and I don't believe my right continue to be violated by these people.
