1-863-402-2779 called claiming to be USAA checking on a tow.  Said that my insurance had lapsed, they would be there 360 minutes later than scheduled, and it would be $1/minute plus tow fees.  I called USAA immediately.  The caller was pure hogwash!!!  USAA took all the information, did research and went after them!  Tow truck came, per USAA dispatch.  Cost to me = $0.00.  ZERO!  These people are scammers!  Stick with USAA, they are the real deal!

They were there in 15 minutes two days ago and nice guy. No complaints.

This is for a third party tow service.  They help dispatch a tow from the insurance company to the body shop.

Called two times no message clearly a phishing scam do not have liberty or progressive or any of the things people have listed.

Call this number and it says it is for roadside assistance and it is used for outbound calling only.  It is an automated answer and the calls I received from it were automated roadside assistance calls as well.  Insurance carrier is USAA.

Called at 5.20 pm today to ask if we could change a flat tire on a car that would be towed in... unknown how long that will take to get here, unknown what type of vehicle. When I asked Who is ARTURO? She said a "Towing Service" but I have never heard of them. I told her the shop was full for today and it's closing time, so today we can not help. She promptly hung up. I'm surprised she called a real auto repair service, there are several Tire Chains nearby. Anyway, rude. We'll be here at least 2 more hours, so I don't see how I can take another car in at the end of the day today. Ugh.

they called once and i missed it and they called right back. answered the 2nd time. legit caller for me. we had an accident out of town (about 250 miles away from home) and the caller was from Agero, the company Liberty Mutual uses to organize transport of the vehicle back to my town/repair shop. was just calling to verify where the vehicle was and where it was going and to let me know the adjuster had authorized the towing miles, and when they would be getting to it to bring it back.

It's USAA.  You may have been getting a call from the auto insurance department.

Call from USAA to assure tow service had arrived as scheduled.  Call type was a service followup to assure receipt of service not really a survey, just no correct choice.

Wish all the telemarketers would fall off the face of the earth.....they don't understand that most normal people don't believe in the BS and or want to hear it.....I just block all numbers that are not familiar and if legit, they would leave a msg....just tell you that they are dumb idiots who don't have a real job.

Harassment/saying they are the IRS?
