They called me twice today, I answered and I didnbt get an answer its making me real mad.

Yes, they called my cell. And when I tried calling back, it said ur call can not be completed

I live in Cincinnati, and I have been getting calls from this number too.  When I call back, I get a busy signal.

I have been getting a call from this number for over a month and no one answers today was different.  I actually talked to some that said my car insurance lapsed as of last week and that they would need a credit card number to process my payment before they report to the State DMV.  Funny this is my insurance is paid in full for the year of 2010,  i just got off the phone from my insurance carrier and they said they would never expect me to give out my information over the phone.  i told this person i paid up and they hung up on me.  I tried calling back and get a disconnected phone number.  wish these scam artists would leave everyone alone!!!!

They call my phone AT LEAST twice a day. It is always dead air. Word of advice...this is how third party providers get your service changed to them without your knowledge or permission. When they DO ask for you, ask what their business is. NEVER RESPOND "YES" or "THIS IS HE/SHE". That is all they need and they will hang up. They take this as a confirmation to charge you loads of money. Word of advice...call your telephone company and ask for 2 things: a PIC freeze and a drop non PIC charge to be put on your phone. This blocks the charges from coming in most times (but the drop non pic charge is not 100% effective) and freezes your LD carrier so nobody can change it without your knowledge or permission. I work for CenturyLink/Embarq and worked for AT&T.

i've also been getting these phone calls.  no one ever says anything when i answer the call.  its just silence.  i've also heard it may be time warner cable...which could be.  i cancelled my internet service with them and have been getting the calls ever since.  also have seen post that say its someone pretending to be from time warner and that someone may have hacked their servers and pulled customer info.

Hi, Time Warner Cable and other internet providers and cable services take orders online. What this number is  1-864-864-6344 is a vendor that charges you a fee and enters the order, if you listen carefully to what they say, odds are good that they dont identify themselves as TWC. 1-800-617-4311 is the local number for TWC Columbus, Dayton and Cincinnatti have numbers of thier own...Our outbound sales comes up 614-481-5000 or private number. This other number is a telemarketing group, while you have them on the line, tell them you dont want TWC and they will change hats and try to sell you something else. Don't give your cc information or check info to anyone who has called you. Remember, Time Warner technicians can collect payments when they install you, no mistaking that!!!

Its a scam its not actually time warner cable its something called like a vendor they call you saying they are from time warner cable and then they tell you that someone will call you back with a date and time and then they will try and collect money dont do it. if you want service just call time warner cable and set it up 18006174311

It's not time warner cable contacting you time warner cables number is 1800-617-4311 and they identify themselves by giving you a name. time warner cable does have outbound sales and dsr's (direct sales reps) when they take an order they dont ask for your cc info or your banking info. Whoever is calling you from this number is saying that they are from time warner cable because they are a big company and everyone knows them.. just dont give them any information.

I have also been getting these phone numbers for the past week, and it says the number is disconnected!.  I am on the do not call list as well, but I guess the do not call list means nothing these days. It almost seems like a jinx - you sign up for do not call, and it opens a floodgate for any and everyone to call! Grrrrr!
