They called me at work stating they were going to serve me with sealed documents. I called the number they gave me which was the 866-201-1890 and had some guy scream at me about seizing my assets, which I don't have, he hung up on me and I called back and found out it was a really old credit card. So bottom line it's a debt collector. I told them to stop calling me at work.

so I received 2 calls from blocked numbers and had a message to call the number above and that they were going to free my assets. I explained that I do not every remembering having that credit card and they said I would be served papers to appear in court if I did not, Well they didn't have my accurate inforamtion so I never receieved any settlement offer available. The guy is giving me a chance to make the settlement if I pay in 2 hrs or other wise I will have to pay almost 3 times the amount. Not happy and not sure what to do.. I dont know if this is a scam or fraud or what,,

    Beware
Same here, male calls stating he is from the county process servers division, requesting address to serve papers, # to call is 866-201-1890. Not sure if it is a scam or a collection agency, but it not related to your local county circuit courts.

    AMAZED
received a call from Lee Tyler today who told me he was with county process servers and if i wanted to avoid embarassment tomorrow at work that he would give me a number to settle this matter in the next 2 hours.  well he also said he was in florida but his area code was in California...my husband called and actually gave them our lawyers name and number and they sounded suprised. wonder how long before i hear from them again.

oh yeah this has been going on on & off again for about 8 months and they won't send any paperwork to the house.  AMAZING, isn't it.   I am going to start recording the calls at work and i have saved the voicemail also...

Beware this is someone who is trying to get money for nothing...never heard of the credit card he claimed to say i had plus he had the wrong month and date for my birthdate.  AMAZING, isn't....

Received a call yesterday and this gal from a 'Document Delivery Service' wanted to verify when I would be home to have me sign for some time-sensitive documents (and I actually am expecting some on an unrelated matter).  She refused information when I asked what is regarding and when asking what time of the day she was referring to, so I knew something was fishy. She volunteered to call back and leave a number on voicemail, in which she said they were questioning property ownership at a particular address and I had 24 hours to return the call before action would be taken against both me and the property.  They obviously don't do their homework, I don't own the property in question, nor have I ever.  I lived there with a relative for a short period of time over 3 years ago, and in fact, I have no property under my name at all.
So much for 24 hours, 48 hours later she's called again with the same exact message.

Searching the number led me here, and since I monitor my credit monthly, I pulled a fresh report.  Nothing there, nothing under their firm name, absolutely no reference at all.Don't fall for their scam - do your homework before agreeing to anything and make sure it's valid, as very well may not be.

    Stop the Harrassment
I am frustrated by these people.  Not only have I received phone calls, my entire family has received phone calls asking for me.  When I called the number, some man screamed at me and said he was going to serve me papers to show up in court tomorrow.  He gave me a case number, which did not appear in any of the court records in three districts around me.  HELP PLEASE.  What is this about?  How do I get it to stop?

I asked for the name of the company and got Century Assessors.  Can't find any information on the company.

Well everyone, I got another call from this number today-I asked who was calling-he said Joel Johnson and I asked for company name-he said I told you yesterday I answer for 20 different companies. I told him " I told you not to call  me anymore I am not the person you are looking for-he proceeded to say " We will SERVE you and he hung up. Please pull up your credit reports, check your credit and contact the ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE to file a complaint. If you do not have a company name, and in my case, they never gave one to me, than you will have to fax or email the complaint form. Do not give them any information and do not agree to anything they are asking you to validate. Contact an attorney if necessary. REFER them to your attorney or legal council. BE WISE. BE CAREFUL and we can stop this harassment.

It's a fraud, do not respond. If they keep calling you get a mailing address and send them a "cease and desist from calling me on this matter" letter but do not give them any information they do not already have, do not give them your address or any other phone numbers than the one they called.

Got a call telling me to call 562-265-8978 regarding a civil case. It's a scam, don't respond at all, block the number from calling your phone. Calling them a debt collector is too legit, they are not collecting anything you owe.

Tghis matter had been settled in court in my favor four years ago. I informed the individual of this at which time he told me not this case. I told him my attorney would contact them and we will pursue legal action against them.

These people called me at my place of employment today and I have no idea how they got the number and this guy basically told me that he was calling to serve me papers and wouldn't tell me what is was about and gave me another number to call when I called them they told me about a credit card debt I had way back in 04 since them I have filed bankruptcy and had it discharged in 2010. I told them I would call them back when I got off of work. To give them the info. Once again I don't know how they got my work number. I hate anyone calling me at work.

i got a call from a woman claiming she is from the county clerk's office and would be serving me sealed documents at my job and then my home between 12 & 5 today. First, she addressed me by my married name, which i have been divorced for 7 years. second, i have been unemployed since 2011, so obviously, she won't find me at my job. most likely it was a debt accrued by my exhusband prior to the divorce. also, my fiance was served not long ago to appear for a case and an actual process server does not announce they will be serving you. i learned this a few years ago when i fell for the scam & even though i produced documents proving that i'd already paid it off, they were insisting that i needed to pay them. & for the people bad mouthing, look up FDCPA. THEY ARE BREAKING THE LAW BY FALSELY IDENTIFYING THEMSELVES, ESPECIALLY AS OFFICERS OF THE LAW OR LAW PROFESSIONALS.

Please look up FDCPA. Know the law. Know your rights. Protect yourself. I was a collector for a time with a major auto lender. We were required to memorize and follow FDCPA to the letter. These tactics this company is using are unlawful. If you don't know & understand your rights, they will continue with the bullying and get away with it. Be sure to report them also.

I just received a msg. From my son that some company name "Century & Assoc." Left msg.w/my son about they are trying contact me w/some kind of documents & left this # (866-201-1890) to call them back at.  This is way out of hand when bill collector contacts your children & lies to them about why they're trying to contact their homeless parent.

Thank you for your comment back & information.  I will go & look up the FDCPA.  I know that it's a scam & they're not telling my son the truth.  I've dealt w/other bill collectors in past due to ex also lying to me about they're lawyers & R going 2 serve me papers.

Got a call from 'Michelle' saying something about some legal documents and seizing some property that I lived in 5 years ago.  The property did not belong to me as I was just paying rent.  It actually belongs to my uncle.  This is a fraud.  If they want to go to court for something or order then just send me the court papers.
