- ltideyThese idiots are still in business? They called me and my husband a few months ago threatening to serve us papers "within the next three hours" if we did not offer to send a partial payment for some old credit card bill. We never owed on a credit card. I STILL have the recorded conversations saved on my jump drive where "Joel Johnson" was screaming at me. When I asked for an email on their letterhead they typed one up in the email. They could not provide me with a legit letterhead, website address or business card. I told them I had turned them in and the feds had contacted me for our emails and my recordings. Haven't heard from them since. Please, if they call you from this number, laugh in their face and tell them to go lick a stick. THEY ARE NOT A REAL COMPANY, I PROMISE YOU.
- ltidey replies to happyYou obviously have the wrong company or you work for them. We aren't stupid.
- Connie| 1 replyBlocked number called me twice telling me to call back this number (877) 529-8033 when I called the lady was rude, tried to bully me and yell at me. I don't think so lady!! I wasn't having it. She asked for my Birth date & last 4 of my social. I refused to give her any info. She then said I was going to be served at home, at an address I haven't lived at in over 5yrs. I laughed and told her go right ahead. I told her I just ran my credit and I'm Damn sure I've never had a legacy visa. She hung up on me. Hasn't called back.
It's a scam!!
Don't let them bully you. If you think you owe money, run your credit report on your own and contact your creditors directly.
this way you know exactly who and how much you owe and are prepared if you ever receive a phone call from these [***]. - Connie replies to happyYeah right. ..I guess we're all just here cos we have nothing better to do than lie to strangers. Lol!!
We're all trying to help each other out and protect each other from these slimeballs.
It's too bad you can't help or comprehend that. - Resident47 replies to happyOnly a stupid shill trying to lecture us on the Deadbeat Economic Meltdown fantasy would have us call a debt collector for validation, which cannot be delivered verbally. It must be *mailed* on real paper to the alleged debtor if the request is timely after initial dunning. That mandate is plainly spelled out in the FDCPA, the federal law so callously violated by Century & Associates.
FTC and CFPB material on US federal collection law:

http://www.consumerfinance.gov/askcfpb/search ... debt-collection - ShellI got a call from this company tonight and when I tried to tell her that I never got any paperwork I asked for a address I haven't lived at that address in almost 10 years. I checked my husbands credit report and he has nothing on it. They called my father in law and stated that if we didn't pay this they would take us to court. When I told the women this she told me not to tell them what to do and don't yell at her the whole time she is yelling at me. I told her that she needs to send me information so I can make sure the debt is real since nothing shows on his credit report I pulled all 3. She told me that she will be turning this over to the attorneys and that I will have to pay it and more. I told her whatever and when I asked to talk to someone else she told me I will deal with her and only her I said I don't think so. She called me back 3x after that when I hung up on her yelling at me and telling me to calm down really I don't think so.
- Caller: Centruy Assesors
- Fedup replies to DaveThey are literally harassing ME, in search of my father! This is wrong on so many levels. I think NIGHTLINE should do an undercover investigation and then SWARM these effers, cameras QUESTIONS and all, on national television.
- Jen replies to D.T.It may be a legitimate debt, however, the collector MAY NOT be! These scammers somehow gain access to your SS number and get copies of your credit report so they know when they call what debt you are past due on and use that information to act like they are the actual debt collector. The BEST way to be sure that firstly the debt is valid and second that the collector is valid is to ask for a validation letter. This letter must meet certain criteria, which only a true debt collector would know. If you ask a debt collector for this letter, they HAVE to provide it. If they refuse they are SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Ticked off in CA| 1 replyHey - has anyone received any calls from a blocked number identifying themselves as US Document Services? Their call back number is (877) 890-2355. I cannot find ANY information on either their company name or their number. They are telling me that they have "sealed" documents for me and will be delivering them to my home within 24 hours if I don't call them back. They are using my maiden name - which I haven't gone by for over 5 years. They have called my husband, my uncle and my father trying to reach me. I know they are not legit - I work in the legal profession and no legit process server CALLS you before serving you - they just SHOW UP! Just curious if anyone else has had any interaction with these bunch of creeps?

The caller couldn't tell me who was sending me the documents nor why. This number originates from Jamaica New York and I have never dealt with any creditor from that area as I don't use credit. Plus I live in another state.

- Not2BscammedThese scammers are using at least 2 different addresses...both in the same basic area of Southern California,
Someone calls and leaves a message for YOU to call (The last was David Thomas at Document Services) with a reference number...when I called just for the fun of it, 844-225-0922 the given number the person answering sounds just like David Thomas but said he was Miquel Cordova, with RW & Associates (or something like that) in Corona California. A few months ago, same type call from a woman who said a complaint had filed with her office against me, with reference number of course, and to call 888-396-3996, this "company" is Walter-Ross and Associates in Rancho Cucamonga, California. I bet these are the same crooks or they are working together as they are geographically close...- Caller: RW Associates

- Former Spouse| 1 replyI received a call just now from a woman stating she is from "Document Delivery Services" and has been unable to contact No Name (my ex-husband) and am I able to help? There are "legal documents that will be delivered tomorrow". Sally - the name provided when I asked - said that she only delivers documents and had no information on the company that originated the documents. I have been divorced from this man for fifteen years! We have no shared property nor debt. I asked her how she got my number and she would only say that it was listed as a "reference". I told her that under no circumstance am I to be contacted again. I did not tell her that my ex-husband has been deceased since January. Good luck, lady.
