They called and left a message of the whereabouts of my husband ex-girlfriend.  They wanted her whereabouts or any information regarding her. My husband and I have been together for 17 yrs. He hasn't spoken to her in 18 yrs. Very strange.

Left a voice mail saying they have a complaint against (name) and they need info on their whereabouts. It sounds like a recorded message. Always the same voice and message. I never call back. Sounds fishy.

Left message looking for the whereabouts of someone I had never heard of called the number given and was hung up on. Called back gave my number and was told they would remove my number from court records?? We'll see what happens

Same message where a recording inserts a name of someone I never heard of, and threatened to file paperwork with "the local county court". Usually vague threats to file with courts are an attempt to troll. Ignoring for now.

Same here.  Caller used a computer to announce the name of the person they were seeking information on and threatened court documents were being filed in a formal complaint.  Gave no identification.

Keep calling our business phone number with a recorded message asking for someone I've never heard of.  When you try and connect, they say the person isn't available and mail box is full.  Real professional.  I recently read the 866 number is toll free and this is a scam.  They actually tried something similar with my coworker.  They had her mother's address and last four of social.  They are getting more sophisticated.

Got a phone message asking if I knew my husband? And his whereabouts and anything dealing with courts it wouldn't be some mysterious 1-866 # - the message was very vague

They have called and harassed people that I don't even know. They have called people that I haven't spoken to in ten years.

I am certain that this is fraudulent due to the fact that I absolutely have no record of a past due loan or anything.

SCAM BEWARE

The "company" is called CFS, they search through OLD data, and I mean old, to gather any "dirt" on people they may have owed a debt at one time.  They are not in the U.S., in fact they are not even a legitimate company, to prove it ask for their business address so your attorney can file paperwork.  They should fight you and then hang up. They have called me for over 7 years now under MANY different phone numbers to try and get funds from me, no luck on their part.  It's as if they are a bunch of idiots who think Americans will give their SS# to whomever calls them.   DON'T be intimidated and DON'T give them any information, as you know in the US debts need to be sent through the mail and no one NOT EVEN THE IRS can threaten you over the phone. If you happen to answer and want at least a year of peace tells those morons that whoever they are looking for is dead. Oh and don't bother changing your phone number I have three times and they always seems to find me. My advice is to block the number, until they change it again...I wish the Attorney General could do something about these guys. UGH

I just got a call from this number. Left a voice mail. I called back and they keep putting me on hold to transfer to other departments. Like a hold for 15 minutes. I was determined to wait to get to the bottom of it but they never came back to the line. I called back over and over and it would eiter got to voicemail or just disconnect the call. Nothing of importance so I am blocking the number,

Received call from 866-204-0484. They were looking for someone who at one time rented the house I bought, so this goes back over 14 years ago.  Have received "legal" calls for this man periodically.  I know he left and owed the landlord money years ago and they couldn't find him.  Must owe a lot of people a lot of money all over the place

Called and left a message about a "complaint" threatening the "next step" is to "contact the courts". I know I'm not in trouble with anyone :) So I'm not worried but was curious. Figured it was an old medical bill or something. Didnt call back.

They called and basically said the same [***] about how they're looking for someone that I have never heard of of. 8662040484 is now blocked.
