Received the same mystery calls, and yes, I had applied online via the Videotron website to increase my internet plan.

I'm going to try Jason's advice if they call again - hope it works.

J'ai eu le même problème mais moi j'viens de les appeler au service à la clientèle et la dame m'a demandé comment je savais que j'étais pas le seul à recevoir des appels-là de ce numéro-là. Je lui ai donné le lien vers ici et elle m'a fait attendre le temps qu'elle s'informait si c'était vraiment vidéotron et si ça allait avec ma facture (après m'avoir pratiquement demandé la couleur de mes bobettes question de bien m'identifier). Eh bien après 5 minutes d'attente environ, elle est revenue et m'a confirmé que ce numéro était maintenant barré, qu'ils ne m'appelleront plus et que c'était probablement du télémarketing vu que je n'avais aucune note à mon dossier donc qu'ils n'avaient pas affaire à moi.

Si c'est Vidéotron ils n'agissent pas correctement avec nous, ils doivent répondre quand nous décrochons le combiné.
pour moi, c"est un manque de politesse envers les usagés.
Faites un rapport au C.R.T.C.

I have the same problem  this number keeps ringing on my phone, good thing it shows up on the caller ID, i just ignore it. i did call up Videotron,, they didn't have any idea what was going on.    Lyle

Today mofo called me too from 1-866-206-8373.

Yestedrday I called videotron to find why they disabled my email account with unread emails inside it, they said becuase you canceled your videotron internet so you do not have internet anymore to check your emails. This is nasty trick to keep customers.
When I moved from Quebec to Montreal, Canada post gave me a redirect service for my mails and they forwarding my mails from old address to new address, but this bustard(Videotron)does not provide redirecion for e-mails. I recommend you before using your isp emails, ask them if you can keep it when you cancel your internet, otherwise you may lose your emails.

I got a call from that number a few minutes ago. Seing the toll free number on the caller ID, I was suspicious it would be some telemarketing before answering the call. When the person was unable to pronounce my name properly after asking twice (they just muttered something that kinda sounded like my name), I just replied that there was no one by the name at this phone number. I figured if the call was important, they would make an effort to pronounce properly!
I do have Videotron too as an internet service provider, but I haven't interacted with them lately to change anything on my account.

This number is the company videotron and its when you make a request by the website of videotron and videotron  is supposed to reach you after that to make your request allready.
DONT FORGET THAT ALL THE PHONE LINE PASS BY A COMPUTER DIALER and when your request as been done, sometimes THIS COMPUTER DIALER restart this list and restart to call you back.. on and on..
THIS COMPUTER DIALER have some probleme and videotron try the best to resolve this probleme.

I konw what is happening, with all those misterious calls .. all depends on your videotran account number, they take some accounts random  using a program for calling, 56821456-875-1 is my videotran account number, if you guys can share yours account numbers with me, I can do something. I ask the people that received the same misterious calls.
