- sarah| 4 repliesReceived a call from a 602-640-0530 phone number, a man named mark lucky left a message saying I had a number of allegations against me and needed to call 866-210-7385 and use file ID#77154. 10 minutes later I get a call from my uncle saying a woman contacted him and demanded she give him my information and he didn't so she left her info with phone number 860-209-9276 with the file ID#77154 which is odd because when Mark called he left the same file ID# so they had my info. I'm not sure how they got my information let alone my family members. They're using my maiden name. I called the 860-209-9276 a woman with an accent answered saying they're from ALBRIGHT Clark and Associates. She said it was regarding a payday loan. I haven't done a payday loan in over 10 years and it was paid off. This is a scam and this needs to stop I get calls like these all the time.

- Stephen replies to sarahSame thing happened to us four hours ago. A woman called and left a voicemail for me claiming exactly the same thing. I happen to work in prosecutor's office and specialize in fraud. I confronted her and she refused to verify the debt (Which the Federal Trade Commission requires of any legit debt collector). she listed the allegations and claimed that she was seeking restitution. Restitution is ONLY awarded in criminal cases. She also refused to disclose which jurisdiction she had filed the allegations in. Also a red flag. She hung up on me after threatening to mark us as refusing to pay. I just got home and found out that she also called my husband as well as his uncle in Texas, but asked for his aunt. I did a trace on the number that she initially called me from and found out that it was a spoof number that had been routed from several countries in Africa and the Middle East.
- BigA replies to sarahSince payday loan places are all run by criminals they sell you information to other crooks. There is information here that you need to read and understand: https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-704-209-9012
- CWG40This "Albright" group calls from several numbers. Some people have stated that the callers seem to have Caribbean accents

- Nichol replies to sarahThis same group has been calling me for almost a year now. It has gone as far as having a woman call me claiming to be a process server out of Maricopa County. The name and phone number changes every few months (Global Solutions, Albright Clark and Associates), but all are based in Miami and all use the 480 exchange. I have filed complaints with the Arizona AG and the Federal Trade Commission. I have asked them for written documentation of the money they claim I fraudulently took from them but haven't seen anything, which is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Two weeks ago, my case number was 44006 but this morning it's 77708.
- Kim replies to sarahThey will be going after a Linda McLean next. That was the name they gave me when I told them my phone number. She put me on hold for one minute and then came back on the line and gave me my number and information from over 7 years ago . This is a scam. They are collecting on a debt from over 7 years ago and have no updated information. First clue. They AR using legal terminology that does not get used in the United States as a standard. A complaint has been filed with their office. They are collecting restitution. This is terminology that is used in the legal world but not as it applies to a person collecting from another person without legal judgement. Folks please use caution if it sounds fishy at any point in time do some research first. 9 times out of 10 it's a scam. They are now also collecting by email and giving you your driver's license and Social Security numbers as well. I happen to be a paralegal in the bankruptcy world and now this from dealing with scammed clients.
- RichardCalls come from every day to every few days. Sometimes they give the company as "Albright Clark and Associates" sometimes as "Mackensie Meyer", usually is an American sounding woman. Sometimes the calls come from (512)214-4374, sometimes from 866-210-7385.
I've answered a couple of times and requested that all communication be in writing. On hearing that they hang up then they just call again...
Refuses to identify who the debt is owed to, or how much is owed, just says that they have "a client who has a claim".
Reported to the CFPB, but given that it is probably a scammer they aren't likely to be properly licensed or care about government action against them.- Caller: Albright Clark and Associates

- Vick| 1 replyMy teen daughter has been receiving phone calls from them addressed to me. But they haven't called me. They call with a 407 area code, She , Amber Gray, never said the company, called 3 days in a row and left voice mails stating that they had a number of allegations pending in their office.against me. Fortunately for me, this department is equipped to assist me in reaching a beneficial resolution. Call their mediation department at 8662099276, then she left file ID#, also stated this was the 2nd call and if I fail to contact office , they will render a decision on my behalf. Then she , Amber with the Caribbean accent called the next day with the same message, only a little more aggravated tone and let the 8662107385. Also stated I must call by end of day or they will render a decision. This is their final attempt
A few days before that, she and I got a call from a woman stating she was a process server and was coming to serve me papers between 3:30 and 5 at both my work and home, and If she couldn't find me it would mean I would miss my court date. I went on to all the court clerk offices and saw nothing filed in my name. I am contacting a lawyer. More because of the harassment of my daughter. They violated the law by leaving that information. They are ONLY supposed to ask about where I can be contacted .- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to VickThey call family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.
This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
List of State AG’s offices: http://consumerfraudreporting.org/stateattorneygenerallist.php - JannFrankesThey call from spoofed numbers so they appear to come from your local area. PLEASE PLEASE file a complaint with the Miami Attorney General. I have. The lady I talked to at "Albright Clark and Associates," or some version of that, said they have an office in Miami, but have 48 remote locations in the US. This is a debt collection scam. When they threatened me with legal action, I asked the woman to deliver the papers herself. They call people I worked for more than 10 years ago, my family, and my ex from 13 years ago, threatening legal action against me about a payday loan. I didn't take one out, and even if I did, something 13 years ago would be a time-barred debt.
Tell them you have opened a complaint with the FTC and the Attorney General, and that under federal law they have to send you a written letter telling you what the debt is, the amount, and who the original creditor is. PLEASE file complaints with the Miami AG and the CFPB!- Caller: Albright Clark and Associates
