Sorry Julie... I just get tired of stupid people.  I used to work for this company. Thats why I quit.. Stupid Public..Too many listen without researching what they hear and then sway others.   That is how I know what this company is. It is very legit.  USAA isn't going to claim they outsource, nor is Target, Microsoft, Wells Fargo, Dell..etc..

I work for USAA and this is a Phishing scam. Do not give any personal information to anyone calling you from this number!! USAA will not ask you for any personal information when we call you. You can also see this information on USAA.com under Phishing Scams.

Mark you're full of crap. This is a collections number for USAA. Give them your info or not, I don't care, but don't go on telling people that it is a scam and claim to be a subject matter expert when you are either very wrong or lying!

Thats funny "cause I've been a member for 30years "paying your wage" and when you call, you want me to verify my member number, phone password, address, birthdate and sometimes Social #.....    I think you really don't work for them or you've been giving out personal information without verifying.  You would be out of a job looking at a huge lawsuit..

Caller ID says "toll free call" and no one says anything.They call 2-3 times a day. When they call, my internet disconnects and reconnects.

866-228-3614 is a legitimate #..this is a collection agency outsourced by USAA..USAA is not going to admit that they outsource but they do..if you people would pay ur bills on time you wouldnt even have to receive calls from this #..to all the people who think this is some sort of scam..get ur facts straight as well as your life

USAA is owned by the MAFIA... If you don't pay their collectors, they will send their enforcers to break legs... They want all of your money... They are all greedy Republicans from Texas... Could give a rats ask if babys eat... In fact, they want to steal candy from babies, and then do your wife while your out getting them more dough!! They look honest up front, all wise-guys want to look legit... But just miss a payment and you will discover what they are really capable of doing you for... "We know what it means to serve" ourselves to your wallet, your ole' lady, & your kids candy!! Suckers!!

Spoke to USAA today! I had this number call me and asked for my banking info in order to make a payment that I was past due. I am not past due on anything. And USAA said they do not ask for banking info cause they already have it. This is a scam number!

As a matter of fact, we were & are current with USAA & our other bills. Thanks! And yes - I've heard of outsourcing. That's where companies send a bunch of jobs outside of their companies & the country so they don't get taxed to death on employee salaries/benefits by the IDIOTS in Washington.
I don't really care who you say you do or used to work for, 'David'. When I receive a call from a strange number that claims to be from my bank, but who requests personal information over the phone - information that they should have if they are legitimate - & I am told they are scammers BY my bank when I call to confirm the calls, I tend to believe my bank rather than some smart-mouthed, arrogant, rude PUNK who comments on a website complaining about said phone calls.

They just called asking for my husband's old roommate, who is ex-military, and very much in debt. I explained to the woman that he has never had anything to do with this number, and has not lived at this address for years, and she was very apologetic and removed my number from his account. Will update if I hear from them again...

This is not USAA! I called USAA directly they can no clue what the call was about! USAA always always asks for your member number then phone password!!

This is correct. Tricare just had an data leak and both my husband and I received calls within minutes of each other. We are not behind on any bills with USAA (don't have loans with them). Do not give ANY personal info to these people.

I don't know WHO these people are, or WHY they keep calling, but it's several times a day, and it's REALLY annoying!
