From what I gather it is Sunrise Credit. They are calling to collect a debt.
They will tell you they cannot disclose the name of the business for different reasons.
I got one that said it was a federal offense to disclose the name of the business.
    How halarious.

Next time ask them if they are familiar with 15 USC 1601 (The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act). That law requires them to identify who they are, the company they are calling from including phone and US Mail contact details and that the call is an attempt to collect a debt. Other than the name of the person they are looking for, they cannot disclose any information about the debt itself except to the person who owes the debt or their attorney.  There are a whole lot of other regulations in that law dealing with harrasment such threats of jail, cease and desist orders that comsumers can send to the company and debt validation requirements. Legitmate debt collectors know and abide by that law.  For those who do not, report them to your State Attorney General and the FTC.

Thankfulni searched before returning the call. If they wont tell you the client they are calling for its not legitimate company.

Keep calling my mother's phone at least once a day.  Message says she needs to call back to be removed from their calling list.  She's on a fixed income and doesn't have any outstanding debt - as far as I know.  Sounds fishy to me. . .

    Validity concern
Sunny Martinez from Sunrise Credit calling on a recorded line to collect debt for Publishers Clearing House. No debt with Publishers Clearing House or any business with them for that matter. When I indicated such, Caller said they have record of outstanding debt and disconnected with nothing further. Seems if there were outstanding debt, the original company would pursue it via mail before sending a collection agency out by phone.

This collection agency has been calling for years, for a person none in this teeny tiny town have ever heard of.  (As in this town is so small we do not even have a stop light.  About 12 square blocks in total.   We all know each other, & sadly the gossip too.)   I have had this same landline for years & years.  Sunrise Collections has promised again & again to stop calling.   They keep calling anyway.  I get it, it is not ethical to skip out on paying debts.  Though tell me, Sunrise Collections do you honestly consider it ethical to harass innocent people?!

they have been calling for years yet you have done nothing other then verbally telling them to stop? For instance have you attempted to send them a certified, return receipt cease and desist calling letter or not me letter? There address is listed right in this thread? Have you made reports to the FTC, CFPB, and your State Attorney General by using the easy to fill out forms on the respective websites? Have you contacted a consumer attorney to sue them? If you have done none of these, then do not lament the fact that they keep calling you.
