- RiovesilBOA is charging me $29.95 for some insurance I never bought. Called 866-237-8236. Some guy there said they would cancel and credit my account. I told them if I had to call BOA to let them know they were canceling and crediting my account. The guy said no what for! I think I should have let BOA know. Today BOA is charging my credit card $29.95 for insurance I never bought!

- rolandi asked for a printout of my checking account ( 10/29/10 ) and i too was debited with $24.90 ! I called 1-866-237-8236 and was given the same b*ll s***t story. my additional problem is that since he convinced me that his company was associated with bank of america, he asked me to confirm my additional identity by asking me for my address ( not my social security, and of course i would NOT have given it ).i am retired and live only with my social security. my question ti any of you is: are they capable and/ or have they ever taken out or wiped out someone's account ?

- Dorothy I. DavisI have a Bank of America checking account and now had an echeck come out of my checking account in the amount of $29.95 which caused me to be overdrafted ,because I didn't know about this phone call because my DECEASED daughter was listed on my old account now my granddaughter takes care of my bills and all because I'm 99years old and can't walk as good as I use to. Now I find out I've been scamed and I'm outraged , how can Bank of America treat me this away I've been a coustomer of thiers since they took over my old bankalmost 15 years or more ago. I live on a fixed income and don't have that much money I have to do without to cover this expense . I'm thinking very seriously of taking my money and banking business somewhere else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Mark replies to TuckerSame thing with us. Unbelievable. Count me in on any class action law suits, though I doubt most lawyers would go after AIG and BoA for fear of getting waxed.

- BOA repfound this thread while investigating this transaction on behalf of a BOA client. I will be escalating these concerns to corporate leadership and "blowing the whistle" through our internal channels for reporting unethical, deceptive, or abusive acts and practices by employees affiliates and marketing partners.
- Nimrod"BOA rep" may be legit, or they may be someone connected with these fraudulent charges/withdrawals trying to discourage further complaints here because it is being "taken care of".
In any case, along with reporting the charges/withdrawals to BOA, complaints should also be made to:
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau - https://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Federal Trade Commission - https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/
Office of the Comptroller of the Currency - https://www.occ.treas.gov (They have the authority to charter, regulate, and supervise all national banks and thrift institutions - including BOA) - post pending moderator approval
