- FUTrashScammer| 1 replyThis is a scammer claiming to be from Bank of America wanting to get personal information before they can proceed to offer you Covid-19 assistance with your CC. They somehow know (cause they are trash scammers) the type of CC You have so it feels legit. I called BOA and they said no one called. Also the number they call from if you call it back it has a FAKE Bank of America phone tree! DO NOT ENTER ANY OF YOUR INFORMATION. The message will ask for you CC number or your full SSN! These are scammers. Trash!

- Mason| 2 repliessame experiences, identified as being with Bank of America and wanted info to update my card, when i told the person I did not have an account they became silent and I hung up. They did get my work phone number which is not published which is scary!
- Caller: Bank of America (supposedly)
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- Nimrod replies to Mason| 1 replyOdds are that they do not know who the number they called you on belongs to. Scammers like this just dial through a block of phone numbers one after another hoping that they will connect with someone foolish enough to fall for their scam. They do not know who they are calling, but they do know that BoA is a big bank and has millions of customers so the odds are high that a good number of the calls they make will be to BoA customers and a few of those will be foolish enough to give them information.
- Liz| 1 replyReceived a voice message from a Sherry ??? last name unclear stating she was "calling from Bank of America please call her back when you receive this messages I would like to discuss several different options that may provide a benefit to you and I would like to discuss some at your convenience my call back number is 800-918-8520". However the call was from 866-247-1112. I know it's a scam but her voice was extremely polite and professional and my BOA has no reason to be calling me.

- Adub AliRecieved a physical letter from BOFA regarding payment options for a credit card and then this call. I knew it was a scam as soon as I read letter. Coupled with this call it seems like the February hack may have given scammers a lot of info on account holders.

- SusanI've received two emails regarding my account and some "payment options" and now I received a phone call from this number asking me to call 800-918-8520 between 9 am and 6 pm to discuss some beneficial payment options. I couldn't understand the muffled name she gave (possibly Renee) and she was a fast talker, so I'm just reporting it to BOA since my account is current and they NEVER call.

- KymI too got this call and the guy name left on the message was Anthony Sasha. I called it back knowing it was a scam. It asked and sounds like the BoA phone tree but the automated voice is different, asked for the last four of ssn or account number. I pressed zero and it transferred me but a long silence. Bingo b of a does not have any silence on their waiting. In fact it is annoying. We the gentleman answered I immediately attacked him verbally about this being a scam. He stated he couldn't help me if I didn't give him any information. I told him I wasn't and again it was a scam, he stated I could call the number on the back of my card. I advised him I would and hung up!!! Called the bank no one called me gave her the numbers and she confirmed it was a scam!!!!!

- GilbertScam caller identified as BOA but a fraud. These people call daily. They ask for the credit card number and 3 digit code on the back. (So they can then print bogus cards) They call almost daily from different originating numbers. Bank of America will NEVER call for such information.
