- JessicaScam! Someone named jessica called me to tell me they have been contacting me and that refusing to pay. I told her to report me to whatever law enforcement [***]. She called me back today to "verify" my current address.
- Call type: Debt collector
- ScobbyI would not provide any confidential details over the phone. If there are legitimate issues for being contacted then I'd ask that person to send the information in writing to your address. Any legitimate company with ethical standards should have no problem doing so. I would almost guarantee these surprise calls are an attempt to scam. Without a paper trail it is very difficult to prove after the fact.
I imagine most of you know what you have have not done in the past. Don't be intimidated. - JENN T| 1 replyI got a call from Jessica claiming I owe them money from an e payday loan from 2008.. I've had calls in ref. to this matter before and reviewed my bank records from then. The amount and date Jessica gave me didnt match... I adv her of this and she began yelling at me .. I asked for proof of the debt be mailed to me and she refused saying by law they don't have to mail anything.. This is a scam !!! I have work in many different stages of collections for about 8 years now and non of these practices are legal. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE ANY INFORMATION !

- seen OregonA man called Jim from an unknown company calling about an undisclosed name on a file that has discrepancies which he needs to reconcile for some reason---wants me to call him.
I don't have any outstanding debts that don't have already have direct contact with the creditor. I have no known reason why this person keeps calling me, but I don't answer those types of calls because they see to all call about different, but false issues and I have enough stress in my life.
Basically, this is harassment. I want it to stop just like I want the other callers from the other four numbers to stop. I live in a state where these issues must be handled in writing as too many cons are trying to defraud the public.- Caller: Jim
- SCbeach goerThey keep calling me,even once told me they were coming to my home or work the next day if I didn't contact the company they are working for. So I called them and told them I was under Bankruptcy and even tried to give them my attorney info, they didn't want that. Told me they were sueing me for a bad check on my payday loan because they couldn't collect on the money from the payday loan, due to account being closed as instructed by my attorney. They said I could settle with them now or pay around 2400 to 2600 in court. Never came to see me. Only call every once in a while to try and get me upset. Told my family to ignore number, it is a scam. They company has my address and know where I work and could send anything they want.

- SPAM CALLERS ARE SCUMGot simultaneous calls on my home & cell from this #. Garbled msg. left by "Tim"? Best I could make out is he's calling about "someone we know"?? The reception quality of the call was pathetic, half of what the dude said was not decipherable. Bottom line people... UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you verify addresses or any other personal identifiable information with ANYONE you don't know, and ESPECIALLY over the phone. These unscrupulous companies are BOTTOM-FEEDERS so don't be fooled into thinking their calls are legitimate. If they are calling your cell, simply set up a new contact in your Contact list titled "Spam", add their # to it, and assign it a silent ringtone. If they are calling your home, I highly recommend investing in a Digitone Call Blocker (you can find it online). Works like a charm to eliminate these types of harassing, robo-dialer calls, and in addition to blocking up to 80 calls, you can also block entire area codes (like 866, 877, 800, etc.). Best of luck & again DON'T RESPOND TO THESE IDIOTS!!!

- pinhead| 1 replyAccording to the recent posts this looks like the most recent running scam that is going on so people BEWARE!!
Even if they claim they are calling about someone else, they have made contact with you and now know that you will answer their calls.
I received a call from them yesterday and their cheap robo machine was in need of repair because have the message was garbled and you could not understand what they were saying.
Ask for proof of the debt if you decide to talk to them. By law they have to supply proof.
Report them to the FTC, FBI and your State Attorney Generals office. Once that is done let them know they have been reported.
I have been getting these calls for the past two years and my info has been handed from one scammer to another but no one has ever supplied proof of any debt.
This type of scam was the second highest complaint submitted to the FTC in the year 2011 so as long as we keep reporting them something will get done! - peggy mayHi my name is Shannon needs to confirm on some conflicting files, can't give any messages on a voicemail. My boyfriend's house got raided by narcotics task force.
I think Barney Fife and his boys might want to talk to me.- Caller: glntif

- Spoonwhite| 1 replyI have been receiving these calls since November of 2011....they bothered me at first. I just ignore them. The calls stop for a few days now they have started up again...I am not going to let ANYONE intimidate me again. I was running around trying to figure out what the hell they were talking about. I even called them back several times trying to get ALL the information. I felt sooooooooo stupid. So now I just calmly try to get information on where they are. So we can meet face to face.

- IRRITATED| 1 replyThis is bogus and not legitimate. Mr [***] George InzunzaI cliams I have a debt that I have been refusing to pay LOL OK. So I asked for something in writing, couldn't get it, I asked for a fax and address, couldn't get it. Instead he says "I know what you are trying to do and I am not playing games" "You are trying to send a cease and desist letter" "I have already forwarded your file on" LOL OK! Why would you refuse me that info?? Sounds exactly like a scam company that tried to do this to me last year!? I'm not an idiot!! Do you really think I am just going to hand money over to some random person because they claim I owe a debt!? You are out of your mind! I have paid down every debt I legitimately incurred in my early 20's so I know how this works, don't recite some stupid court case... take it to court I DARE YOU! I know my rights and if it was legitimate I would love to pay however these tactics are disgusting and the hollow threats mean nothing to me. You think the is the first time someone has tried to scam me out of some money!? LOL GET A LIFE! I have worked with enough debt collectors and lawyers to know how it works. I feel so bad for those suckered out of money that they don't owe : ( by these [***] who use these scare tactics on innocent people. Don't call me and talk to me with such disrespect and refuse me information I need to pay legitimate debts! HA! Good luck [***]!

PS I pay my bills on time every month and monitor my credit and bills very closely! I work hard for my money and only pay debts I know and have verified are mine!- Call type: Debt collector

- Psych J replies to pinheadI get these calls all the time!! They are incredibly frustrating. They tell me that I incurred a pay day loan debt through some lender that I have not heard of, or in some manner that I know for a fact I never did. Or they have told me that money was deposited into an account that I have not had in years. I have asked for proof of the debt, and why I have not received anything in writing prior to receiving these phoncalls. Their response is always we have been sending you letters you just have not responded. I have not recieved ANYTHING! I have asked them to even provide me their fax number. And, their response is: Why? And, refuse to give it to me. These people have even gone as far as calling my friends and family members. When I refuse to make any payments, unless a have proof of the debt, they become extraodrinally unprofessional, and accusatory. They tell me that this is not a game, and that I will be sued for check fraud. However I never get served with papers, and there are no legal actions filed against me in my county. Further, I researched the FDCPA, and pay day lenders cannot make such claims. In fact a debt collector is in violation of the FDCPA if they threaten with taken actions that they do not intend on pursuing.
How do I make these calls go away? - k.pThey also called with that someone I know BS...The last call was there wrong call. I called back they said it was regarding my Friend...I went offffff so bad they hung up the phone and them I called back to ask what happend I thought they wanted to talk... .F U pay ME.....LMAO Funny how they want me to do due there work for them ...N whoever the creditor WAS chewed there own azz by loanin that ho a dime.........clowns!!!!! Im the baddest B

- T Bell| 1 replyRepeatedly calling my job leaving threating messages
- SPAM CALLERS ARE SCUM replies to T BellT Bell, IT IS AGAINST THE LAW FOR THESE IDIOTS TO CALL AND HARASS YOU AT WORK. Next time they call your work#, tell them you are officially notifying them to CEASE & DESIST IMMEDIATELY and that you will pursue legal action against them if they call you again. Write down the day & time you told them to stop calling so you'll have it for your reference. These people are bottom feeders. DO NOT be intimidated by them. That is their "schtick" and they use all sorts of underhanded & illegal tactics to harass folks. Best of luck to you and BY NO MEANS should you ever give them any information over the phone (other than to tell them to CEASE & DESIST).
