They call me every single day from a 602 area code number. Looking for a "KIM". They leave messages everyday when my voicemail states my name... finally I called them back. They refused to tell me their company name finally i kept calling (using 2 phones) till I got someone else. They identified themselves as "CR Associates" but wouldnt tell me anymore and hungup the phone.

"Christopher Adams" is the name on the voicemail. Sounds like some redneck. Called for my wife using her maiden name and at her mom's house so I don't think he legit. Would not give me any information and only wanted to talk to my wife. Was rude about it too. I called him back a second time and f'd with him.

just get the call fr that number looking for my brother, and said that its a legal matter and need to talk to my brother Itold them my brother is not here anymore for almost 10 years... and why suddenly there is a legal matter against him... and they refuse to tell me a.. do you know who they are ? they say CR associate something like that .. and they said they are not creditor ...thanks

This person Christopher Adams keeps calling my brother looking for me. He tries to get information out of him but all he does is tell him it's a legal matter.  I don't have anything against me.  So I finally call him several times today got nothing but his voicemail. I don't know who he is but I'm turning him into the national do not call registry since i'm on it and see what happens.

Called my sister this morning looking for my dad. Harassed her to the T...She is very ticked off that this happened. Someone please arrest this man that is doing this........I will press the charge if needed.

I reported this number to the Do Not Call Registry. Hey Bert, do you have any contact with African Americans? This guy didn't sound like a "redneck". I imagine that any caller from this company can use the same name when leaving a message.

A Ms. Danburs from CR Assoc. called and left a rude message about getting a hold of a man Dan. Said how important it was that I relay a message to him and how immediate my actions must be. I called the number, the man who answered would not tell me how he got my number or what it was about. He would not let me ask any questions, was incredabily rude and told me I had some kind of major problem.

This person called my son and would not tell why he was calling because I made him mad when I asked why he was calling, this call came from Texas so I reported him to the Texas Attorney General and did receive a repsonse from them stating that they would investigate.  This week we received a call from a CR Assoicates at 615-469-5268, with a return number to call 866-248-3761.  CR gave the same case number as Paul Gallo. My son did have some credit problems about 15 years ago so my guess is that they are a collection agency.

got another call from this number, but my hubby answered. The lady on the phone acted like she was my long lost friend..Asking about me, and then moving in for the kill(so to speak).
I have nothing to do with these people, and have told them before, but they always call back..me or my parents..
What can be done?

You folks should pay your bills and debts and actually contribute something to society other than your debt.

Ever wonder why you have sub 600 credit scores and have to run around "avoiding calls if you don't know who it is" !

This number called my house today, the man identified himself as Christopher Adams, asked for me, was rude with my wife and left his number.  When I returned his call I recieved his voicemail and yes Christopher Adams does sound like a redneck.

FYI you all need to go look at some things in the FDCPA before you all go saying all of these things. The only thing that statute of limitations means is that a creditor cannot legally press suite against you if the statute of limitations has ran out. That doesn't mean that you don't owe the money or that its not still on your credit report or that someone cant go after you for it in other ways besides sewing you! If you would just pay your bills then you wouldn't have to worry about who's calling you!

If you are so perfect than why are you here?

Again, I say what are you doing here if you haven't recieved a call from this number?  You have no idea if any of these people pay their bills or not so I say "Your an idiot".

Yes I say Tell it Like it Is is in cahoots with Chris Adams - which is a hokey name.  Its a collection agency bottom feeding off old debts and harrassing anyone they can find.  Their techniques are weak to say the least. Official sounding Case Numbers, and Make a statement, blah blah blah.  How about go out and make a living doing something productive.

THEY DONT HARRASS ANYONE. THEY WERE VERY POLITE TO ME. AND THEY DO HAVE LEGAL MATTERS THAT OTHER PEOPLE FILE THAT US AS CITIZENS ARE UNAWARE OF. THEY ARE A VERY LEGIT COMPANY.

U ARE RIGHT, HE DOESNT SOUND LIKE A REDNECK, HE SOUNDS LIKE A VERY INTELLIGENT PERSON DOING HIS JOB. PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO MAKE COMMENTS LIKE YOU DID ARE IGNORANT, AND HAVE NOT UPBRINGING. YOUR PARENTS DIDNT TEACH OR RAISE YOU RIGHT.

HOW WOULD YOU KNOW IF SOMEONE IS IN CAHOOTS WITH SOMEONE. THEY ARE JUST TELLING LIKE IT IS. IF PEOPLE WOULD PAY THERE DEBTS OFF, THEY WOULDN'T BE GETTING PHONE CALLS. ALL ANYONE HAS TO DO IS PAY YOUR DEBT, NOT STEAL MONEY FROM COMPANIES. THOSE OF YOU WHO DO NOT PAY YOUR DEBTS ARE LOW LIVES, AND THIEVES.

PAY YOUR DEBTS, THATS WHAT CAN BE DONE.

They will call from several 866 numbers. They are a collection agency. You can call the FTC and they can give you some info. to stop them from calling. You will need to get their address (good luck if they give it to you) and send a cease communication letter to them, via a certified letter with a return receipt.
