- BillyG| 3 repliesCalled and said they had a civil matter to discuss what a party that no longer resided at the address. Left no details, company name or contact name. When I called the number, the message stated CRI was the company name
- HATE STUPID PEOPLE replies to BillyGSo did you leave a message saying that the people calling had the wrong number? My guess is that you didn't! So instead you went and cried about it on the internet. Guess what? They will still call your number because they don't know it's the wrong one.. I am sure we will get more postings from you in the future as you have nothing to do but get involved in other people's business.
- Tara| 1 replyCalled and left a message about being investigated about asset liability and gave a case number and said they needed to confirm some information before they have attorney serve me and my husband legal papers. Today they also sent a investigator to my neightbors and asked questions but they did not tell them anything. WEIRD! They could of walked across the street and knocked on my door!! I will do a three way call tommorrow with my attorney on the other line and see what is up and post more info. They have called several times in last week. Odd hours too. Collection company I would guess. Using scare tactics. Never been investigated about anything in my life!! I'm in Louisville KY. Like to know where other person was located. maybe a local collection company??
- Annoyed!| 3 repliesI have started receiving calls from this number at my work stating they need information from me so they know where to send my paperwork. Never stated where they are calling from, just that I needed to call back and refer to a case number. Received calls last week from a different number using the same sort of tactics. They had more information. That number was 714-923-3833...that's the number they gave to call back to take care of my "debt" out of court. Got the credit card company correct, but not the amount I owe! Prices kept rising and they said they were going to garnish my wages and send a summons the next day. Well still waiting on that summons! So now they've started calling from this number. Don't give out any information!
- Call type: Debt collector
- call them back replies to BillyGThat's right! You call them again, leave a message or wait for a live person and tell them they got the wrong number.
- FYII think this is their website www.gotocri.com
- I HATE STUPID PEOPLE. replies to TaraSo it is now a week later and we have no posting about your conversation with them and you’re attorney. My guess is you are full of hot air and don't have an attorney at all... I would suggest you consider doing something intelligent and maybe call them and find out what is going on.
- STUPID. replies to Annoyed!| 2 repliesSo let me get this right!! You called them found out who they are and it’s about a credit card that you owed and never paid for. The amount is higher than you remember. #1 Credit cards still gain interest {in most states} till they are paid... 2nd you would prefer to go to court and gain additional attorney fees, court fees, and other interest than try to settle the debt out of court. By the way did I mention have a judgment on your credit. You must be stupid or have lots of money that you love to give away. Hey!! Here in an intelligent thought! Try calling them and settle it for a lower amount. A lot of companies will settle than go to court... try for 50-60% off..{duh!!}
- nobodyAsset Capital out of California, they are a
Aggressive Collection Agency using all kinds of tactics almost to the point of scaring you to submit...

- shouldgetmystufftogether| 1 replyI got a call and they had all types of info on me and my past regarding debt. It was when the guy started to get frustrated with answering my questions that I knew this had to be fake. This is a wake up call that I need to get my finances in order. Hope this response helps anyone that needs it like the previous responses have helped me. BTW the person I spoke with was a "Mr. Martinez" but a "Hope" called and left a number on my phone.

- Brendaone day at work I received a call about being served to appear in court for a civil suit and they wanted to make sure they had the address correct. Ne next day I received a call from my mother in law and he said that some lady had called her and requested info on my husband and I and left a number and I called the number. I spoke with a lady named Hope and she said that I was being sued by a creditor on an old credit card that
hadn't been paid. I had consolidated my credit cards and that was one of the credit cards. She said they don't deal with third party payers. I called the consolidated company and they said they had tried to make a deal with them but they had not accepted the offer. The following day Hope called me again and was saying I had property ties with several different family members (which we don't). But that they would settle with me personally for 80% of the final bill which was 3 times the amount
I had turned in. I told her I didn't have anything to give her and she said they would proceed with serving us with the court papers and I told her do what you have to do. Nothing has occured. - Know my rights replies to STUPID.Not so much a stupid thing. The chances of a company like this spending the time and money to try to collect old debts is rare. The costs of attempts far outway the benefits. They much prefer to use scare tactics, often illegal scare tactics to try to collect debt they bought for pennies on the dollar. Those people that have had this debt for many years should actually think twice before paying a negotiated amount, particulary when the debt is old. The reason is the clock on the credit score wall begins after the last payment. So, if they haven't paid the debt in five years, only three years to go before the debt is removed from the credit report, however, if they pay now, that clock starts ticking all over again. I think Hates stupid people is from this collection company. Every state has different statuatory laws for how long the debt stays on the credit report. It is public information and the government has pamphlets out on your right as a consumer in these circumstances.
- A.K.| 2 repliesOne day? Come on, you are not writing a book Brenda N. Yeah thats right, we know who you are. You just had to look this site up in hopes of getting out of the debt. Hoping that maybe this agency is committing fraud but its not. This agency is going after all the dead beats that do not pay their bills and assume its going to go away mysteriously. Just wait until you get sued and then you start crying because you didn't take care of your obligations. Consolidation? Looks like that hasn't stopped you from shopping at Target or JC Penney has it? Just another dumb [***] debtor. Oh, and say hi to Manuel for us.
- wrong person| 1 replyMr. Perry keeps calling from this number and mailing letters about some law suit. He is looking for someone with the same name as my husband but they have different middle initials, different birthdates and different wife's name. The guy is an idiot and won't listen that it is not my husband and asked "Why did he give me this address then for someone with the same name?" Duh - obviously the real person he is looking for doesn't want to be found. This is harrasment!

- AggravatedThese people are calling my place of employment and not identifying themselves telling me that I have a case no. and they are trying to serve me with court papers. I refused to talk to them or give them any information and they threatened to serve me on my job. They are very rude and they are trying to use scare tactics. I want this to stop and these people to stop harrassing others. If a debt is owed, there is a way of going about collecting it professionally and without harrassing calls at your workplace!

- none| 1 replyThey called me a few times, and threatened an arrest warrent would be issued. A few weeks later someone called from our local sheriffs dept and said to call global ag right away or a warrent will be issued. I called the number on my ID back and sure enough it was the sherriffs department. Funny thing the person who said they were the police would not give their name , they just told me to call the collection agent. seems fishy!!

- WhatisThis!I received a a call from this number, said her name was Hope Martin, and she said they have a legal matter that may be fraud, and that I may be hiding assets for my son, and they want all my financial information, and they are going to serve a summons on me to appear in court, that my son had tried to handle this debt on his own, but unfortunately had only made one payment...that he was going to be sued for fraud. They also called my father in law, who is 90 years old, and said they were going to serve him with a summons, that he may be hiding assets....I have checked my credit history, and Asset Capital Management has made an inquiry into my credit history! This must be illegal for a company to harass family members of someone who may or may not owe a debt.

- stoped callingA lady called said she had been trying to serve me court papers and gave me a phone number and case number. I called and spoke to a Hope Martin who said I was being sued for a credit card I had back in 2002 and there were criminal charges for defrauding a company due to failure to pay. She then went to to say I could serve up to 30days in jail and have to pay over $9k if this went to court or I could settle with her now for $3995.00. When I told her I wasnt gonna pay something I dont think is mine she said they could go after my inlaws house, my parents house and garnish my husbands paycheck. I asked what the original amount owed on the card was she said $985.00 so I told her to go ahead and take me to court, she simply hung up on me. Ten minutes later my husband called and said the same lady called his work and said he had to pay this or the sheriff would be sent to pick him up, he laughed and told her he would be waiting. Guess she didnt like that answer cause she hung up on him too. Its now been over 6 weeks and they have not called us back. Dont believe anything these people say the only reason they have any info on you is cause its all public record anyone who can pull your creit report and do a serch on the web can tell you all the info. They cant send you to jail or garnish your wages without a court order and no judge is going to do so over a $900 debt. They know this and just try to scare pople.
