Hope Martin called my 82 year old mother stating she is being sued for an old credit card from back in 2000. Told my mother she could settle but would have to pay $1,800.00 to avoid going to court and possible jail. My poor mother paid this on her credit card. I called her creidit card and explained what had happened, her credit card company put the money back on her account and said they would contact Global ag to let them know this was being disputed they also advised me to file a complain with the FTC which I did. We pulled my moms credit report and the debt they were calling about was less then $600 and had been paid to a collection company what they were looking at simply stated sold to another company and right below that the name was the company it was paid to which stated original paid and had the same account number you would think they would have picked up on that. They have no right to say they can send the police to pick you up if you dont pay them right away only a judge can issue an arrest warrent.

What a waist of space. I will write a bunch of [***] on here also.

the same people called my on february 18th said i had to pay 602.46 in 3 monthly installments i do owe a credit card from back in 06 but only owe 900.00 they are trying to get 1200.00 from me i am not paying this everytime i try to go to global ag's website it is an attorney but for fingerprinting - i guess they will have to serve me cause i am not paying them - they would'nt let me speak to anyone but a female. need more information on this company before paying by balance and when i looked on my credit report this was written off - do i believe these people please give me some feed back

You need to look up the fair credit and collection act.  They must tell you who they represent, the amount owed and give you something in writing to prove the debt.  If not, they can't collect a dime.  This company (scammers) try scare tactics which will work with some people.  They are now telling people that they have a court summons for them.  This is bull****.  They should train their people better.  I have a client who was cussed at by them.  They can't do this.  Type on Google.....  Fair Credit and Collection Act and you print out what they can and cannot do. This company is unethical and should be put out of business.

Get wise,  This was not the Sheriff's Department.  by law all deputies must identify themselves when they are asked or when they answer the phone.  They have set up a number which will respond "Sheriff's Department"  Get wise do not let them upset you .  They cannot arrest you for a civil claim.  A Debt (you owe money to someone) is a civil claim, not a criminal action.  The only type of debt that is a criminal action would be a "nsf check" returned by your bank.

Thankfully I retained a top lawyer in my town who is in the process of drawing up legal papers to stop these people from harrassing me, my family and my coworkers.  They are violating the FDCRA with every phone call they make.

I've been receiving calls for a debt that is not mine.  They like some of the items I've been reading have made threats, spoke about my supposed debt to others who have no business knowing.  

Only reason I've got there name is because of caller id and the morons didn't realize I could take down their information and repeat it back to them...their scare tactics need to be stopped and have them put out of business for good.  

They must be scum since only scum could live with themselves after the way they treat others. Let's hope that they never have problems.

So unprofessional for you to write that crap you wrote.  You collection companies are not GOD.  Funny thing is if it wasn't for people like us who can't pay or bills there would not be any jobs for people like you.  I am sure you have family members who have had bill collectors call them and make threats.  So big and bad to run that mouth on a computer but you wouldn't be that way in front of a crowd of people that you have called and threaten and harrassed.????  Not like your out anything but some time making the calls anyway.  Your a very mindless and selfish person.

I have had Audra call my inlaws now several times.  Telling them I am going to be summons to court and so forth and they give out personal informaiton along with a case number.  !0 minutes before calling the inlaws I get a phone call form someone who claims we had bought from Ace industry over  a year or so ago and wanted to know if we lived at such and such and so forth.  If someone is having to go to court 9 times out of 10 they serve you at your residents.  If you do not go then they put a lien on you.  Another good one was when they called and I answered and they said some name and that I was being served with such and such and case # blah blah blah and that she and her staff had tried several times to serve me and when would be a good time for me to be home?  What a lie in it self.  Everyone wants there money and with today's economy it just isn't going to happen.  The lies and threats need to stop and people need to be able to breathe and not feel so stressed.  Most of these credit debts have been sold to another firm that is using a scare tatic and with alot of people it works but there needs to be laws for this kind of stuff.  For the companies, the people that fall on hard times and can't pay and so forth.  Life is not all about GREED!!!!

My in laws keep getting phone calls from this number.  I get phone calls from them as well saying they are so and so and that they have tried to serve me a legal summons to court and when I reply what is this matter concerning they recite off a case number and I tell them it doesn't tell me anything she then starts with she will tell me a phone number and then hangs up on me.  This is not a very professional way to deal with the public.

Message for Don't Give In:  Would you happen to have an address for Global AG in Santa Ana California?  Hope Martin called and left a message on our answering machine, threatening legal action involving our property for the debt of a relative who hasn't lived with us in seven years and for whom we have no legal connection/responsibility (this relative actually had his debt discharged in bankruptcy several years ago and I suspect this debt collector may even be violating the FDCPA by trying to collect on his discharged debt).  I want to send them a cease and desist letter but when I call, they won't provide their address and have given different names such as RFA, RF & Associates, Global AG, Global Attorney Group.  I'd love to get an authentic address and legal name for them and if you were able to get their address from pulling your mom's credit report, it would be great if you would share that information.  Thanks!

You know it is obvious that stupid and hate stupid people are collectors. You can tell by their hateful messages> Never settle with a collection agency> File complaints and if you have to, file for bankruptcy> You will survive, the collection calls will stop and you will be able to live and they get nothing> Some collection agency employees are just downright horrible and mean> They have no rights, but you as a consumer do>

don't answer calls from numbers or people you don't know. Especially if the first time you spoke with them they inquired about a lot of personal stuff.  These people are intrusive and they will do anything to try to control your life.  they  often lie and tell you things that won't happen.  don't let them scare you. They hide by using saying they are attorney or a law firm but they aren't either in 90% of the cases and they are usually 100% scumbags.

I had some [***] call me the DAY I turned on a land line, asked for me by my maiden name, and asked me where I worked, I said it was none of your fkn business and he just laughed and said "don't worry, I will find out" and hung up. Disconnected my land line.....don't let these scumbags get to you, learn your rights learn the law what they are and are not allowed to do and take action. Never give your personal info over the phone and call their bluff!!
