I recently became a Fidelity customer and received a call from this number today. I didn't answer, so I can't confirm.

I saw this on my caller ID & didn't answer, but I did open an account with Fidelity at their office a couple days ago. The guy who set it up said that one of three people gets a survey after interacting with them, since their bonuses are based on customer satisfaction and not commissions. Therefore, I don't believe that this is a sales call.

I'm going to take this call if they call again; because I actually find it refreshing that they don't work on commission & want to help them improve their service to people like me (it was quite good).

Received several calls from this number including one from an "Anthony" wanting to inquire about my "Fidelity investment".  I have PAS account and only get calls directly from my Account Rep.  When I asked what specific office he was from, the line went dead.

I immediately called my PAS account rep and reported the 866-303-5142 number as possible phishing.  The Fidelity PAS account rep was unaware of any calls from Fidelity and stated that there was no mention of them contacting me in their call log for my account.  This may be a scam on fidelity accounts...  I am calling a friend at a large telecom to see what he can do to track down the source of this number.

They called my cell phone 4 times. I missed them all. no answer when I called back.  Blocked the number.  I don't believe it could really be fidelity.  I am a big customer and they never call my cell.

They called me twice the same week, again I answered with no response. I called back phone rings and no one answers.

It is from Fidelity Investments (kind of). It's the 3rd party company that Fidelity has contracted with to conduct survey's of customers who have recently called Fidelity. They are NOT soliciting anything except feedback on a customers most recent contact with Fidelity.

I can see that a person would view this as 'telemarketing' and as a nuisance call. However I can ALSO see how Fidelity is striving to improve their customer service by having a 3rd party contact them and ask HOW YOUR INTERACTION WITH FIDELITY WENT. Find out areas for improvement and what customers viewed as strengths.

Calls 5 nights in a row.  I never answer as it's an 800 number on my cel.
The delay is caused by the auto dial switch, when a person answers the call is then routed to someone for the survey.  If you wait someone should be there soon if they are trying to survey you.

Received several hang-up calls from 866-303-5142.  I will call and complain as well.

Here's the deal.  I had a call from this number like many others.  Ignored it when I saw the caller ID.  The problem with these people is that if they're legit, they leave a voicemail with a number and ask, "please call me back" and give a very specific reason.  If not, you just thank God for caller ID and you never answer if it's unidentified or an 800 or 866 number...it's as simple as that.  If it's important, they'll leave a message, and you can call back at first opportunity.  I do like using this web site to see the comments like "it was Fidelity" or "it was so and so" ...that gives me some concrete information.  What interests me too are the politicians that use 000-000-0000, 555-555-5555 and 999-999-9999, THEN leave voicemails.  Our taxpayer $'s at work...

I too am a Fidelity customer and just completed a roll-over to an IRA from a previous 401k.  I didn't answer, they left no voice-mail message.  When I attempted to call back, there was no answer.  So I would agree that it is outbound call...managed by an outsourced company.  Pretty poor!

this number called while I was pooping! totally irrelevant question, but my poo had corn (it looked like it at least) I haven't eaten corn in months. Such a mystery!

Just received a call from this number on my cell phone. Called back, no answer.

Caller stated that her name was Jennifer with Family Dental. She contacted our (extremely busy) printing company in need of a price estimate for a project. When I asked for a fax number, she couldn't provide one. Then I asked for a phone number... she provided one, but it was not legit. She called back a few hrs later for the estimate and I stated to her that we could not provide one unless we had a number that could be linked to the business name... she hung up. lol I wish they would stop calling b/c it REALLY slows down our productivity!!!

Man called, asked for husband - our number is unlisted - and refused to speak to wife.  Hung up without any further conversation when she noted husband was unavailable.

Got the same as the rest, a call, no message, I called back, no answer.  So, I added the number to my address book as "[***] Marketer", and put all the lame numbers in there.  At least now I get a chuckle when interrupted for this kind of call.
