These people call me every three months, or someone like them. I was a victim of identify theft 5 years ago, and during that time a pay day loan was opened in my name. I caught all of the scam and closed my accounts, but I owed $200.00 to a company BECAUSE they put a deposit in my bank and then started pulling $60.00 a day out of that account. The deposit does not usually alert people, but withdrawls do. I didnt know this was happening for a few days and closed the account. The bank gave me back my money, but now I had a deposit to pay back, which i did. I believe these scammer companies sell a list of peoples names and numbers and try to scare people into paying for something, but trust me; if you legit owe someone money, they are not using some third party mass robo caller. You will have official letters sent to you well before some strange calls come through, so tell these people to take a hike, or challenge them to serve you something legit. I truly would love to see one of them deliver. LISTEN UP- WARN YOUR FAMILY- HERE IS THE SCAM! They called my Brother and told him I owed some money, and he could help me out etc. Gave him the thickest guilt trip I have heard in years. He almost paid them, but something stopped him, and he hung up. Thankfully he did because they would have got him too. They use burner numbers, so if you give them an inch they will take a mile and you will never find them again. Don't fall for this!!!

Same here. They've even been calling my ex-wife! I called the Mich State Police and they laughed about it just said "ignore them". Thanks a lot.

State police would have nothing to do with these kinds of calls

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.
You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking),  the only thing they understand.

Government has nothing to do with it.   Callers are basically scofflaws and criminals.

THEY WILL NOT STOP!!!! Just received yet another call from these low lifes, now they are throwing in my wife's name on the pre-recorded message! been through this many times, they try to back door ya, DO NOT FALL FOR IT PEOPLE! iF YOU OWE, BELIEVE ME YOU WILL RECEIVE PAPER WORK FROM EITHER A COURT OR ATTORNEYS OFFICE, BEEN THERE AND DONE THAT!

I keep getting calls from the same guy and the phone message is garbled from different numbers here are the numbers.  866-324-0862,
866-232-7419, 866-3247009, and 866-896-7942, and now, 866-303-6832, they are looking for my estranged step- daughter

Received 4 or 5 phone calls of the same nature - looking for someone, unrelated, but with our last name.  Received 2 calls of the same from 2 different 866 phone numbers within 8 minutes of each other.  When called back, got a human who hung up on me.

Yes me too i been bothered from this company asking me a loan long time 2013 while i never had loan on 2013 i was at hospital actually.

How did you correlate government "gave up our privacy" with "these people to call us" ?
The PHONE companies, and third parties, print phone books with nearly all the residential landline numbers, with names, in those books. For decades. Not the government.

yes i just got the same call. i did not call it back but exactly the same. 1-866-303-6832, these people may be trying to steel your identity or they have check your bank for any strange things that are out of place and keep an eye on all your accts like ebay and pay pal.

Same thing. Looking for me because of a formal complaint (illegal for legit debt collectors to say) So I called back because I like to have fun with these jerks. Evidently, they've been trying to collect on a Payday Loan from the Oakwood company from  2012 I had in St Petersburg Fl. Except I didnt move there until 2014. And didn't have a PDL with them.  Then as I kept challenging him he said "what do you think this is?" and I said "I think this is a mf'ing SCAM, and I don't know how you sleep at night" he says "I sleep just fine" and I said "Go F yourself" and that was it. Second time in a year they have called. Is scary that they have my social, my old bank, my email address. I verified nothing though and the last address they had for me was in FL (Im no longer there.) I will be reporting them-AGAIN.

This number called me telling me I owed them funds on a 500$ loan took out on 2013 and now the balance due is 1000.00$

Total scam - be cautious peeps

Same voice mail message left for me as everyone else is reporting.  Number now blocked.

Same message about  an individuals where abouts

T-Mobile says "Scam Alert" so I didn't answer but they left a voice mail that was basically the same as all the reports above. Seems they were looking for someone with the last name of Holly near as I could figure out since their msg was in full swing when the vm started recording. Anyhow, no one by that name herel
