I just received the same call. I have no federal student loans!

“Yes sir this is Cynthia Arnold and I'm calling in reference to your federal student loan um I need to discuss your repayment _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ changes that of taking _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ recently so if you could be sure to give me a call back my number is 866-303-9009 and um I'm gonna go ahead and give your reference number if you would _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ when you call _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ things a lot easier your reference number is 220004 thank you…”

hey wait, that's my reference number also.  did you stop paying on my student loan? now we're both in trouble.

Called three times to the same phone number with 3 different reference numbers for a student loan of which i have none. Also used three numbers, the same name twice and Amy Wilson on the last call with the same voice and message.

Same experience. Received a call regarding student loan debt.  I have no student loans.  Also used reference number 220004.  Do not return this call.

Definately a scam of some sort.   Recieve voice mails from Cynthia Arnold. Funny thing is my phone doesn't ring & the # never shows up as missed call. Leaves her 866-303-9009 reference # 220004 regarding changes in my student loan.. sorry I graduated debt free, won't be calling this # back. Definitely a scam of some sort.

I received the same call with the same message about student loans.  I don't have any student loans!  If I were to guess, this is probably a bill collector trying to be coy in getting you to call back with the reference #.  Not today, scammers!!

Well, so much for guessing.  This is not a debt collector.

So glad I googled this number before calling it back because I actually do have student loans and I could have gotten caught in a nasty scam! She also gave me same reference number as everyone else. Thanks for the info everybody!!

Cynthia called regarding unpaid student loans and left a reference number.

Something must be wrong here...you're all listing my reference number. I may call Cynthia back and give her the reference number, and ask her to tell me who she thinks she's talking to.

Same as others, Cynthia Arnold called to discuss my federal student loans. gave me this call back number and a reference number as well. I don't have student loans! Lots of "yeahs" and "uhms" in the message. I got this call from a MN number and last week it came from a NE number.

Same experience as described by others. Exact same wording.

Exact same thing here. Cynthia has left a message 3 different times with same reference number but number that comes up on phone has been from 3 different states. What a pain!

Called severa times from different numbers asking to speak with me about repayment for my student loans, because some option had changed. Fortunately I know that since I am still in college, I don’t owe anyone anything until 6months or so after I graduate. Nice try, “Cynthia”!
