I just received the same text message.  Thank you all!

They keep saying the same thing to me but under a name that isn’t mine but I don’t know anyone by that name

Just like everyone else above text message for my husband and he’s been gone for over a yr know it’s a scam

Same, I received a text with a reference number saying "Our office has been unsuccessful in reaching you." with no indication of who they are.

Received a text like everyone else with the same number. I dealt with  a scam like this a few years ago and now it’s starting back. The last time they called all of my family harassing them for a few months.

I received a text at 9:36am CST today stating my full name in CAPS along with the same message everyone else is reporting. I called the number (not from my personal phone) and hung up as soon as someone answered with "Brooks and Weiss OR Brooks and Wiseman". Google only gives me results for Brooks and Wiseman and it's a scam debt collector. Everyone is getting government stimulus money and tax returns right now. This is hunting season for scammers and spammers.

Sent me a text wanting me to reply

I got a text with a code; saying they have been unable to reach me. I called first with blocking my number and my call wouldn't go through. Then I called without blocking my number and it went through. I was aggressive in asking who are you and what do you want. They talk really fast while stating the company name of Brook Wiseman saying their a collection company. I ask collections for who, and he hung up on me. I have an app the records all my calls, therefore I was trying to get as much information as possible.

This is a scam. Do not call.

Had the exact same message and on call back refused to verify my last four and informed them if they were legit, they'd not be asking the question. They said good-bye and got off the phone.

Apparently the text message is from Brooke Wiseman & Associates trying to collect on a payday loan from 10 years ago. Haha...I live in Texas and the statue of limitations is up.

I didn’t want to be taken to court so I gave them my prepaid card info.  If this is not legit I’m going to be mad.  They claimed I owed them money from easy cash!  Please help on what to do.  I don’t owe the money

There's no such thing as a "statue" of limitations. The word is "statute".

Well at least the statue is still up and hasn't been toppled or blown over by a hurricane.  That is very good news!

Got text saying office has been trying to reach me and to reference a letter & number sequence. Looks like Scam.
