My parents (who are elderly) received a call from DCA this morning asking for me.  I have not live in Canada since 2005, however had my ID stolen in 2002 (including my social insurance number).  I have no idea what this is abount and why would this agency be calling.  I have no known debt in Canada.  I told my parents to hang up if they call back again.  

I don't owe any money to anybody ,but these people keep calling me that am I owe something which I don't . I have good credit record nothing owe to any company.

Calls my work when asked to stop. Has embaressed me to no end and they wont stop..

Called my family members numerous times. Finally I called them to find out why they keep looking for me.
They said I owe money to the cash store. 800$. They said they would settle for 550$. They don't accept payments. Has to paid in full. I said [***] off. They said my file will be "processed to the courts within 48 hours" then hungup on me.

I'm not worried about it.

Calling several times to my cell phone, home phone and now my manager at work. How do these people get all these phone numbers??

Moi et ma famille avons son appel et sin enregistrement , nous avons porté plainte aux polices et l'appel est retracé .

Ne vous laissez jamais intimidé mêmecsi vous devez de quoi de cette manière , il y a une loi très clair .. Ils ne peuvent plus passer plusieurs appels si on ne répond pas ils peuvent seulement prendre les moyens légaux qui vraisemblablement ils n'ont pas à moins d'avoir un luxe payé .

Maintenant je dois vous dire rapporter ses appels son nom a option consommateur ou police moi c'est fait . On entend bien le poursuivre pour plusieurs choses car s'était ma jeune fille qui a répondu et elle a subit un choque .

Il existe bien un loi très clair sur eux ..

Une seul lettre lui disant d'arreter d'appeler , c'est tout si non passé à l'action

They called me saying I owed a bill from city financial in 1999 15 years years ago and it was over 7000.00 and they said that I had to only pay 4000.00 in 48 hours like that's going to happen after 15 years I don't think so just scared they can get into my bank account

I do not owe money to anyone! Yet I still get these calls. It's a scam, pure and simple.

My secretary received a call from this agency and left a message that I should call back re an urgent matter. When called back I was told that I owed 582.39 dollars to a company but if I make the payment immediate she would settle for 480 dollars! I asked her to write to me the details but she refused and became loud and rude. Interestingly, I NEVER used the services of the company she said I owe the money to. Scam.

Always calls in french on a recording. I got this much figured out. This is a copy-and-paste from the web site. Spelling errors are theirs'.

You are looking for some guy that doesn't live here. You  have called me several times a day and I would like very much that you stop calling this number.

Received a voice message this morning from an alleged "Mr. Perreira" from "DCA" (Debt Control Agency), who claims he was looking for a "Ralph Lambkin" for an "urgent outstanding debt" referring to a claim #DC906506, and to return his call immediately.  Needless to say, his claims are bogus, and likely he is too.  Mr. Perreira can be reached at 1-866-307-5322, Extension 242, if you'd like to vent your frustrations directly to this obvious scammer.

This is a company trying to collect on ancient debts that have for the most part been written off and are way past the limitation for anyone in Canada or the US to collect legally. They could be breaking the law to try and collect on debts that have been written off. They are parasites, The rule of thumb: DON'T TALK TO THEM ABOUT ANYTHING AND NEVER RETURN THEIR CALLS. Better still get a Call blocker phone, to block numbers or telemarketers from calling you on your phone. They work great.

They cannot place these debts in any credit reporting agency and if they try do so you can sue them. Don't worry about them, they will eventually go away and try to find some other sucker to believe their lies and B.S. There are Statutes of Limitation in Canada and the US where the creditor is allowed to collect on bad debts. Beyond that there is nothing they can do. The Statute of Limitations basically allows the debtor to get a fresh start without having to go bankrupt. By the way, there have been many debt collection agencies that have gone bankrupt and stuck others with their bills.

The can call until they are blue in the face, they can leave messgaes, they can mail you letters but so long as you do not contact them, THEY CAN DO NOTHING the debt is so old!

This number texted my phone, leaving a message that read "please call 8663075322". I have not called them.

Have no idea who the person is they are calling for.

Le président de DCA Laval et Toronto m’a téléphoné la nuit pour me dire de payer immédiatement 7000$ sinon j’irai en prison dans les 24 heures. Il a téléphoné mes voisins pour leur dire que je dois de l’argent impayé. L’homme criait au téléphone. Il était très agressif. Il a dit à nos voisins que nous sommes des criminels qui vont aller en prison si on ne paye pas d’ici 24 heures.

Calls me all the time and doesn’t even tell me what it’s for.

Worst company ever.
I paid them in full for a cash money loan I took out. Next thing I know a year later another collection agency is calling me asking for more money stating I never paid dca. Now when I call dca they are rude, hang up and I’ve been contacting the supervisor for months and she won’t return my calls. This agency is horrible and the staff is absolutely disrespectful and ignorant.
