I know this is very late comment but I hope you nailed to the wall!

I received a call on my home phone this morning asking for (g--- b------) which I asked again the name she was asking to speak to...I asked who was calling, she said Pat. She asked if he was there?  I said where are you caling from, she gave me the name again ( Allied), I asked what it was in reference to and she mumbled something and I got a disconnect....... I gave myself a few minutes to calm myself, and called that # back.....This person answered and gave me the name "Allied interstate" at which time I asked why she was calling MY #, she said "did you just receive a call and I relpied, YES and why are you calling my # and asking for this man? she said  "I was asking for gb" , "Do you know him"? I replied, YES! but he is an X inlaw from about 8-9 years ago, and why are you calling me....... she said that he has my name & phone # on as a contact..I said, well you best get rid of that name & phone #... At that point, she said that it has been removed just then. Which I replied,  it better be.. and she hung up...  How annoying!

This phone number has been calling me several times a day for at least a week without leaving messages. I finally catch one of their calls and answer, just to hear "you had better be on your best behavior, hehe" and then they hung up.

I called back to find out what that was all about and ended up being harassed about having a Sears credit card debt from 6 years ago for $800. Not only do I not have a credit card, but I haven't even been legally able to have a credit card for 6 years. I stated that this sounded like a scam and she insisted that they are a real debt collection agency, then told me to check my credit report and give them a call back. She then rudely hung up before I could say anything else.

This is either a scam or a really, really stupid debt collection agency that enjoys harassing the wrong people. Either way, don't give them any information!

I received 3 calls from this number in the last 3 days.  Apparently it was also on my reject list, but it went to my phone anyway.

The problem is that they auto-dialed a cell phone number. This is why the American economy failed. Too many people out of control doing whatever they want.

I'm so fortunate to have a cell phone number formerly belonging to a deadbeat.  I went 3 years with no calls, and now they're starting up again, and I think she's been giving this number out to evade people.

It rang while I was at work, and I answered and kept hearing a looping recording saying "This is Allied Interstate.  We are attempting to collect a debt.".  I worked in bad debt collections for 7 years, and I'm not sure that's ok with the terms of the FDCPA but I'm not sure, because they've changed in recent years.

Someone finally picked up and asked for Christine (same old, same old).  I told her that Christine hasn't had this number for 6 or 7 years.  She said she'd take it out, but got snotty and said "If she hasn't had this number for 7 years I can't imagine why it's in here".  We'll see if they stop.

i have repeatedly gotten these calls 4 times a day for the last 2 months straight at all times of the day saying i owe for a magazine subscription.  been reported to the BBB and STATE ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE IN MY STATE  many many complaints.  SO BAD IN FACT I NOW HAVE 9 DIFFERENT UMBERS SAYING  ALLIED DO NOT ANS

This is a collection agency

They said that if I don't pay up, someone may visit my house and do me a harm. I gave them the address of a funeral home. They hung up. Sounds like a mafia person. Deep voice. Phones kept ringing in the background. I had settled a bill with citi group 2 years ago.

Been receiving phone calls for months now...I've stored it in my contacts and have it labeled as NUISANCE CALL...therefore I just ignore it.  Talking to these uneducated, uniformed, call-makers will be of no value to you in eliminating this nuisance.  Eventually the calls will stop when they realize the time it takes to effect the calls exceeds the expected benefit of same.

Collection agency calling about a person that has not lived in this house in over the 30 years that we have lived here. I told them that I have received this type call in the past and told them I did not want any calls in the future. If it is a debt that this person had if they lived in this house it was over 30 years ago it is legally un-collectible In California. The limit for debt collection in California is 4 years after last contact. I guess they get last names from a telephone book and cold call people with the same last name in the hopes they get a hit.

This number called & when I answered no one would say a word.  Googled the number & got this page.  So I got a bit pissy & called them back.  Someone answered right away & when I told them hwat had happened in a not real nice tone of voice.  I was told they were trying to collect a debt from a Trina? I think it was.  Informed the woman I have had this cell phone number for over a yr, it was provided to me by cricket & I have been getting calls concerning this woman who evidently is still giving out this number.  Was told they would note it in the file to not call but it could take up to 48 hrs.  we'll see.

§ 806. Harassment or abuse
A debt collector may not engage in any conduct the natural
consequence of which is to harass, oppress, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt. Without limiting the general application of the foregoing, the following conduct is a violation of this section:
(1) The use or threat of use of violence or other criminal means to harm the physical person, reputation, or property
of any person.
(2) The use of obscene or profane language or language the natural consequence of which is to abuse the hearer or reader.
(3) The publication of a list of consumers who allegedly refuse to pay debts, except to a consumer reporting agency or to persons meeting the requirements of section
603(f) or 604(3)1 of this Act.
(4) The advertisement for sale of any debt to coerce payment
of the debt.
(5) Causing a telephone to ring or engaging any person in telephone conversation repeatedly or continuously with intent to annoy, abuse, or harass any person at the called number.
(6) Except as provided in section 804, the placement of telephone calls without meaningful disclosure of the caller’s identity.

this company has been calling for the last few weeks, and finally
a bit after 9am local time, I picked up, stayed on the line, and
a male started speaking, wanting to talk to a Ronald.
Told him there was no person here by that name, and
that he was to stop calling, of which his response was,
that they're not the only ones calling, and when
I told him that I'm going to report him for harrassing
calls, he said in a sarcastic voice, Go right a head.

I'm really sick of these idiots calling me every morning at 8am sharp. I've read everyone elses complaints and it seems I'm not the only one but how can this be resolved?? I've tried answering serval times, the last time I literally cussed them out and they hung up without any kind of response and I was hoping that might have done something... But of ourse not. I don't have any debts whatsoever and especially not with this Allied Interstate company, I have no idea how they got my number and I want this to stop! Someone out there help!!

They have called several times the first time I thought it was a prank call they asked if they could speak to Mr homosexual and they keep calling

did not answer as knew it was another call for someone who owes $ and not us so just will not answer.

They call, let it ring once and hang up.  They do this over and over several days a week.  They don't even let me answer the phone.  Now that I have the number, and who they are, I'm not going to even bother trying to answer.   I just wish they'd stop their annoying practice and quit bothering me.
