Have had so many phone calls from these people I can't count. Tried ignoring them, but they just keep calling & inconveniencing me. Say they are looking for my mother who lives in another city. They have also called my Grandparents looking for her. I wonder how they are  getting all of these family phone numbers and yet cannot manage to get my moms number? I am unlisted and she is listed. WTF. I have heard many names from them, many company names from them, and also many reasons for why they are looking for her. (lawyers office, county's office, debt collector, going to sue, going to get a warrent, going to serve, debt owed, legal complaint, other forms of complaints, etc...all of it is BS!). They will not leave me alone. Go away you scamming jerks! Get a real job!

I just had a call from these people saying they are calling from legal dept for the courts? scammers??

Got a call today from this place, they claimed that they helped debt collections companies to file court documents.  I have a paralegal background, so I pushed a bit and spoke to their legal department.  They were skittish when they found out that I know the law, and I called their bluff on the supposed "case number" that they claimed - the format didn't match the venue.  They then thought to ask for my full name and the last four digits of my social security number, which I decided to provide.  Turns out it was someone with a different social security number and a different middle name; they're sloppy and flailing around blindly trying to find and/or scare people.  My advice is, if you know you didn't do anything wrong, confront them on it and get them to provide more details - you probably aren't even the person they're looking for and if that's made clear then they'll leave you alone.

So the next time you get a bogus collection call where they know your name AND the last 4 of your SSN -- you'll know where they got it.  Brilliant!

Same here and it has me really bothered. How do they get your number in the first place?

I got a call from 866-333-4149 in CA same address on Collier ave. and also a WC Group in Temecula CA, when I asked what wc stands for a woman claiming to be Nancy Haskins said "oh, its just a name like any other." but I also got a fax from them asking for payment of a credit card debt from 04, could only trace this address to a mailbox company. Sounds like a scam
