- DIxepixI recieved a miss call with no message left from this number so I called it back. Asked for my reference number or phone number of which the phone number was unverifible according to their automated system. I recently went through an ER (a week ago) and do not have insurance. After reading though others messages I looked up this company and agree that their primary purpose is to reduce bad debt to health care providers.. I havent even recieved a bill yet as I was only in ER a week ago. So I find this a bit premature and insulting as I have not even been given an opportunity to make payment arrangements with the ER. This is not a SCAM but a company that is used to help medical institutions get their payments. According to the website for this Cardon Outreach they are also suppose to help patients aquire neccessary health benifits that dont have insurance. I prefer to work with the billing department at the ER.

- Cranky Texan"Cardon Outreach" aka "Cardon Healthcare" is calling my cell number on behalf of Seton Hospital looking for someone I do not know.
Cardon Outreach website - "More than two decades ago, we began as an expert provider of Eligibility Services. We still are, but we have evolved to provide hospitals with an integrated approach to managing revenue cycles for all aspects of their self-pay patient balances."
They appear to assist Seton Hospital in billing management, but also offer to assist with medicaid eligibility.
"Cardon achieves this by performing specialized eligibility assistance, accounts receivable recovery services, patient/guarantor verification resources, patient financing programs"
Sounds like a conflict of interest for folks who don't have health insurance.
They have the wrong person and I cant seem to get rid of them.- Caller: Cardon Outreach

- Cranky Texan replies to ToscasKiss| 1 replyThey may legitimately offer to help get you assistance. If they are working for the hospital, it is in their best interest to get as much information as possible from people who may have trouble paying their bill. There is a lot of money in crap like this, another reason why the Repub's so want to get rid of universal healthcare.
- The Marine VeteranI received a call from this number, left me with a message, "this is...." while I was on a conference call. I called back and asked me to choose 1 for English, and entered my phone number. Which I did, and the automate system is asking for "Ruben Rodriquez." I have been using this my phone number for 3 years. It seems somebody went to the hospital and used my number as their contact.

- TexasGot a call but didn't answer message left was "this is..." sounded more like that's all that was intended to be left on the message than it being cut off.
- LaNita SchartzI received three calls in 15 minutes from them and I hung up and received a letter the same day. I was just in the hospital for Cardiac problems and the hospital said they would write it off. I told the hospital and they said they knew nothing about said company. I think this should be reported to the law.

- Mary JoThis is a company that screens patients for their respective state's medicaid programs and is able to apply for patients and follow their case for them if they screen eligible. It is a legitimate company that has contracts with many major hospitals across the US. NOT A SCAM!
