This company called and said they had a civil case where I am the defendant and left a number to contact a mediator.

The same company just called me and left the same message. I don't know who they are or what they want.

This company is Allied Mediation Group and they are calling on the behalf of Sprint.They try and use very threating tactics and are very arrogant and extremely rude.I asked for proof of such debt and he went starting ranting about how he would take me to court and I would have to pay his expenses.I explained that I would not send someone money that I don't owe.Told me he would see me in court.

I just got a call from 866-403-5319, and was told that I was going to be sued, if I do not pay $700 for a debt that stems back from 2004. The company is called, AMG. They would not provid me with any information about the company or anything at all, they said they do not even have a website. This is 2008, EVERY ONE UNDER THE SUN HAS A WEBSITE. They are nothing more than a COLLECTION AGENCY, and can not call to threaten people, especially representing themselves as lawyers or mediators. I KNOW THE LAWS, PLEASE READ THE RULES AND LAWS OF THE F.D.C.P.A, GOOGLE THAT AND KNOW YOUR RIGHTS...

got a message from "Tom Johnson", that he had my 'case' and was wondering was it 'tax evasion'. I knew this kind of scam already Evans Law & Assoc.had called me 3 months ago, they all belong to the same persons.
I returnd call to 866 number left message not to call my phone anymore send anything on supposed 'case' via US Mail certified I told them I know they are a fraud and the 'case' is from cell phone 12 years ago that I disputed on my credit report.

The same guy (Tom Johnson - probably an alias!) called me, too, but from a different phone number than the one on this page.

I got a call from someone at 866-446-1071 and when I call the number after hours the answering machine says the company's name is AMG. The guy who left the message said I was facing criminal action, then backtracked and said "court action" and was very intimidating and official sounding. He wouldn't say what the call was supposedly relating to just that I needed to call him within a certain timeframe. I called and got a message that he was unavailable and to please leave my name, case ID number and lawyer's name. I don't have a lawyer and although I owe a ton of debts, I have no idea what this guy is talking about.

After doing a few Google searches I found an entry for a similar phone number - 866-403-5319 (https://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-866-403-5319)- that appears to be for this same company - AMG or Allied Mediation Group. Obviously they've got more than one 800 numbers. They sound like a real piece of work.

Same thing happen to us, his name was Owen Shorp with AMG Mediation with 866-446-1071 number, extenion 104. He said Vanderbuild Collection agency was trying to collect an outstanding debt from a sprint account from a phone line with our old number we had in 1999 also had the last 4 of the ss#. Said he is the mediator for a civil case that would be filed in 48 hours if we did not pay him $620, if we didn't we were looking at $3,200 in court costs just to fight it once it had been filed even if it is a faulse claim. There is nothing on our credit report that shows outstanding debt with sprint, nor does sprint have record of this account having debt. Spent a lot of time checking our credit reports and with different divisions of Sprint to legitimise this thing and there is no recoed of us even being late let alone having a collection claim.

Wow  I'm so glad i googled them.  I have been scared  all weekend wondering what these malicious fraud charges were they said they were going to be.filed on me iny county.  This message,was left ony ex mother in laws answering machine.

Remember - no one calls you and tells you that you're going to be "charged" - the cops just show up.  And if you did have a debt, defaulting on payments is not a criminal offence - so there are NO fraud charges.  The callers are scammers or very shady debt collectors.  

Legitimate, law-abiding businesses do not call and threaten people.  Using threats of lawsuits, fraud and charges are violations of the FDCPA.  If the callers had documentation proving you owe a debt and that they are legally able to collect said debt, they would have no problem mailing (not emailing or faxing) this proof to you.

Received a strange call at 8pm from 302-861-5036 phone number. They also reported that I would be served at home or work and that I must call back with a particular case number. When I called the number back, it was an electronic voicemail system that said "no one is available to take your call right now, please call back" and hung up. Sounded shady so I did a reverse phone look up and it was a phone or cell in Newark Delaware. But no business was attached to it nor any specific name. I called this am and spoke to a Darrell King who was stating that I owed a couple hundred bucks from some online lending place. He said the "lawyers" were ready to go to court. When I advised him that I wanted proof of such a debt because I had not and did not incur such a debt, he went around in circles. I advised him that I didn't know him from Adam and had no idea what he was talking about and without proof, there was no case. I advised him that I had no idea if he was trying to steal my identify or what. He said that the "state locators" found me and that is why the number didn't come back to anyone in particular - it was to "protect themselves from dangerous people." To me this doesn't make sense and I am waiting for the "proof" he supposedly has. I have looked for the company online that he stated he is a part of BUT all I found was this.

Thats interesting Jan because thats the same person I am waiting for a call from. She did the same thing told me i was going to be served and have to go to court and pay all these courts fees, blah blah blah. So happy i came on here before she calls, her and I are going to have a great conversation if you know what i mean. Thanks for all the info everyone. I hate companies like this.

I called 855-490-6718 and a woman answered "hello." I asked if this was a business and she seemed very caught off guard and then said yes it was AMG. I asked to speak to ext 301 "Arthur Bell' and she transferred me. Arthur had harrassed me on my work number and was leaving messages on that number. When I spoke to him he said that I had an ACH transaction with Capital One that bounced and I had until 5pm today to take care of it or I would be sued in small claims court. I tried to tell him that I haven't authorized any ACH transactions or had any bank issues due to an ACH transaction with Capital One but he talked over me and would not listen to anything I tried to say.

They are obviously a scam. Don't give them any money and report them to the Attorney General's Office if they continue to call you!!!
