A male called my wife's cell phone this morning asking for me by name and stated he was on a recorded line.  ID Caller reflected it was a SCAM CALL.  My wife said nothing and hung-up.  Other remarks here indicate it  is from a debt collection agency.  How they obtained by wife's cell number is not known and I have NO past due debts.

I have zero debt and they called. I suspect 100% that it's spam trying to trick you into giving them money.

Number calls at random times 4-5 times per week and never leaves a voicemail. I don’t answer numbers I don’t recognize and if you can’t take the time to leave a voicemail than you’re probably shady anyways and should be avoided.

Called cell this morning.  No one has my cell number so most likely a robo call.  No message left.

Received a call from this number. Hiya shows Jefferson Collection Agency. No idea who that is. Glad I came here to look.  No voicemail left and I do not answer calls that I do not know

Call several times a week and don't leave a message. We have zero debt, and NFW am I giving them my social security #. Blocked!

Some kind of scam.  Called daily for a long time, and when I finally answered asked for my father - whose alzheimers is so advanced that he cannot talk on a phone.  When I told them that they hung up.  Obviously not a reliable caller.

That is absolutely the worst thing that you could have told them. Now they will keep trying in the hopes of getting to him and scamming him. You should never offer that type of information to anyone you do not personally know.

10:34am 5/16/2019 866-432-1695 called and said, "Hello?" I said, "Yes?" and they immediately hung up.

Whomever is hiding behind this robo call has been harassing me daily for years. The recorded voice says they are looking for Tanesha Taylor. I do not know anybody with that name.

Reposting this on other site(s) because it was nearly impossible to find ANYTHING, will credit you. Thank you for your hard work and desire to help others being abused by these scumbags.

I too got a call from 866-677-2706. Didnt recognize the number - so I didnt answer. I did a reverse search of the number online and found it listed here on good ol' 800 Notes.

The name is familiar to a local credit union here in Louisiana - Jefferson Financial Credit Union. I called up their Collections Dept and talked with a supervisor. She said that the 866-677-2706 number and "Jefferson Capital" is in no way shape or form related to JFCU.

I know Jefferson Capital is a scam because I don't have any credit cards or mortgages or business loans or car loans of any kind. Debt free since 2003, baby! Yeah!

Call everyday says its about a credit card but can't give me any info like when last payment.  Total scam
