Called saying it was a servicing issue with my BOA card. Told me to call back another number. SCAM

Called my mobile number and left me a voicemail requesting to speak to (my wife's name) about a "servicing issue".  Person identified herself as Nina Miller.  I called them back and the first question I was asked was for my account number.  I told them I didn't want to provide that information, but also that it was a request to speak to my wife.  They said that's fine, have her call them instead.  Didn't make any sense why they'd have my mobile number associated with any of her accounts.  My wife called BofA and they indicated they had not made any attempts to contact her.  Clearly they are getting more sophisticated, and not using heavily accented folks to run the scam anymore.

This is NOT Bank of America. This IS a PHISHING scam!

I received a call from 866-607-4976 and they left a voice mail to call 866-441-2292.
They said this was Bank of America, what was my voice verification word?  I told them I couldn't remember (just messing with them).
They they asked for my Drivers License Number. I told them I'm not giving anybody information and that I wanted them to tell me
something that only BoA would know. They couldn't and they spun some story about just go into a branch to see what the issue is.

The whole thing smelled like a scam.

It's a collection agency on behalf of B of A. You probably have an unpaid balance that is past due.

I called the number back after seeing it on my caller ID.  A well spoken woman answered "Bank of America".  I told her  that I missed a call from them but that I have no account with BofA.   She only asked for the phone number that they had called.  I gave it to her and she said it was attached to an account belonging to "William (?)Steppers".  She said she would note it on the account that it was the wrong phone number for the account.  It may well be BofA, however, NEVER give out any information. Instead, call them back at a listed, known BofA number, unless you really do owe them money and are avoiding them.

Received a call on 4-17-17, from a person claiming to be Sam Jones, from Bank of America, about an important servicing matter.  He did not speak with an accent.  He said to call back 866-441-2292 and gave the business hours as Mon-Fri. 8am-11pm Eastern time, and Sat. 8-5.  I called the real Bank of America and they confirmed they did NOT call me and the tel. # is NOT theirs.  This number IS A SCAM.  I reported the number/scam to the Federal Trade Commission, both by telephone and online.

Have received 2 calls from this #. Did not give out any information, requested contact letter to be sent, they denied. Called bank of america to report it. Scam, scam..

woman with an accent called - important information for (husband and my name).  we are to return call until 11 pm eastern time!  said she was from Bank of America.

Just got a message from this twit who claimed to be from BoA and needed to talk to me about an "important service matter."  Total bull.  BoA doesn't make these kinds of calls.  It's just another low life bottom feeder.

Called 2/11/19 R 8:38 am.  No message left nor do I ever pick up the phone if I do not know who is calling.

Received a call last night from a very professional sounding woman named Sabrina Calloway, she stated she was from Bank Of America and that this was not a sales or marketing call and that it was very important to call her regarding a service matter. I did not call the number but instead called the number on the back of my card. I found out there is nothing wrong with my account and the number they gave is not one of theirs, They will be reporting this number to the fraud division.

Received 3 calls, two from a Michelle Hossar, or something like that, actually sounded like your average American. One from a Michael Masad, or something like that, little bit of an accent. Supposedly representing Bank of America concerning " an important service issue", wants you to call back. Called BOA and confirmed my account was fine. These [***] are scammers and should have a few digits removed to persuade them to get a real job. It's bad enough having to replace my credit cards every year due to these types of scum.
