I too got a call from these people many months ago. Where is my lawsuit? Oh, thats right they can not sue me. I requested proof of debt, which I never received and once I filed with BBB and Nevada District Atternoy the calls majicly stopped.

I will say it again. They can not and will not sue you.

The post of poeple saying they have had legal action taken against them are all the same. Same sob story over and over. Same words in the same writing style. Go back and read throught the previous pages and you will see.

Also, April, there is no state that would not allow a DC to garnish wages up to 22%. Maybe next time you should lie better. And before you try and say your not, here is how you can prove you are who you say you are. WHAT IS THE CASE NUMBER?

They are called ALPAT collection agency. They come up on caller id as 9856411751 but give a 866 number to call back.
They use scare tactics.

I received another call from FFG last night but this time instead of having a local area code and number the number was 702-473-5316 and they left a message says his name was Matt and that i had previously spoke with a Ms.Luker trying to resolve the matter and that i failed and failed miserably and that my case had been forwarded to his office for immediate action in the county that i reside and in order to prevent this from happening i should return the call immediately at 866-443-6985. now obviously i did make a pymt arrangement and then did some research and found that they are a complete scam so i cancelled my card so they could not take any money from me and whats funny is i called back the number on caller id and no one answered i let it ring like 30 times funny huh and also Big Ben too your a fu***** LIAR they cant and will not sue you these people are running a scam you think they even want to be anywhere near a court room lol they are stealing money from people idk about ny1 else here but im tired of these damn people harrassing me i filed a complaint w/ BBB and reported them to the FTC and also file a complaint w/ the NV district attorney office as well hopefully they will stop.

No it is not personal for them to say that the call is in regards to a check, they did not say it was a bad check, it could be any kind of check, if you had not written bad checks you would not automaticly assume that it was in reference to a bad check

ok..well she assumed it was bad..another question i have read alot that these are scams should i believe them. i called back finally got an answer and asked them nicely to send me a letter to my office of the debt i owe, since unfortuantely had to move out for safety reason, and explained straight to the point reason why i could not cough up 299 at this time. All he said well your going to be sent to court then, i told them wait can you please send a letter of the debt so i can have the right to have this in hard copy, Refuses and said your just going to get a letter from the attoneys and said good bye. i said wait a minute you didnt even asked if i had any questions or offer payment plan at all why is that what else should i do. i do not want to run a risk and dry out my bank account

My wife was served papers today at her work. Why wouldn't they attempt to serve her at home? It seems alot of people have been sued by Ffg & assoc. How can some people say they are a scam? Unless these are fake court papers my wife brought home! Can somebody give us any advice as to what we should do? We don't even know why we are being sued!  Thanks!

This is how we know they are a scam. They post up these fake comments about being sued but never return with any follow up info.

Do not let them scare you into paying them any money.

Just got a letter saying I'm being sued by FFG in seven days! They can get in line if they want I'm not paying a nickel. I'll be filing bankrupsy soon! I owe too many creditors alot of money. This letter says I have 7 days to pay or I'm sued! Doesn't matter to me so they can get in line!

I have been getting the same threatening calls about sending a marshall,and putting a lien on my employer, needing to send wage garnishment papers. They are calling like everyday at least 3 times a day. My boss has told them to quit calling because I can not get personal calls. Then they start telling her that they are going to put a lien on her home, I live in texas I thought that wage garnishment was not allowed? But aside from that they still are calling after being told they can not be calling here anymore, because I will lose my job they still keep calling.

I received a letter from FFG, I then sent a letter back asking who the original creditor was and wanted valid proof that this was something that I owed.  I just received a letter stating per sec 809 of the fair collection act & clark v capital credit & coll, we have validated the above account. How did they validate it, there is no proof that this debt is mine and I do not even reconize the org creditor name.  I am now going to ask for proof from the org creditor and see what they say.

I got a call from this number at my work.  Said they would procute if I  did not pay them 475.00 or make arrangement to pay them.  This is supposed to be a pay day loan.

I recieved a call from Allegiance Telecom of Illinosis saying if I did not pay on a defaulted payday loan today, they were going to have the police sent to pick me up the next day. They also said the people I used as references could be held accoutable as well. They were very rude and it was very hard to understand them.

I just received a call from Joseph around 1:56pm today. He left a message saying he was callig about a check I wrote and I haven't written a check for 7 years now. I don't deal with checks anymore so I don't know what he's talking about. He didn't even state my name to inform me he was calling for the right person.

My husband and I received calls from a Joseph. He stated we needed to verify information on a check we wrote. He never stated why he needed to verify information. It was very suspicious, as it is rare that we even write checks. So, we looked up the supposed number and it was Jason's Cable. We have never dealt with a Jason Cable.

This company or person "JOE" Has been Harassing me by making calls morning and night.
Also can't block the number keeps changing -Last number was
