- RoseI also get a call from Joseph. He left a message saying he has left numerous messages. Never have heard from this person before. He called from my local area code but left an 866 number. FFG and Assoc.

- Rommel replies to billcollectorWhat is the point for these collection calls. If some did have a pay day loan and did not pay it back, $300 loan is not worth all these efforts. How come there is a cease and desist order by the State of Nevada for this company? all souynds fish
- LouSomeone named Joseph/FFG & Assoc just left a voicemail message on my work phone asking me to return his call because he received a check from me that he needs to ask some questions for verification on. I don't even have a checking account so how would I send him a check? I goggled the FFG & Assoc and found this website and read the prior posts. Hilarious, I knew something was up, they are amazing aren't they? They just don't need to be contacting me at work. Getting me fired would mean I would have even less money than I already don't have now, right?

- Susie QGot a letter emailed yesterday from RoVo and Associates representing FFG stating that I have 30 days to pay...HAHAHa. Did a little homework on RoVo and Associates and a Mr. Rory Vohwinkel AKA RoVo. and it seems the better business has this to say about him.
Licensing As of 12/22/2009, the Bureau has been UNABLE to confirm this company has a valid local business license for the locale in which they operate. IF A CONSUMER DOES BUSINESS WITH AN UNLICENSED FIRM, THEY DO SO AT THEIR OWN.
They have an F rating and have failed to respond to any complaints.
PLEASE DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THESE PEOPLE. Don't pay them a dime. Report them to FTC and the BBB.- Caller: FFG and associates AKA RoVo
- JerWell, I guess it's my turn to sound off on this crap. I've been having issues with a crooked leasing agency the I got into a lease with long ago. I've had lawyers work on this and about 8 or 9 years ago my lawyer threatened them with lawsuit. Since then I've had no letters, phone calls, nothing... then suddenly back in March I get a $20 returned check fee from my bank because apparently I authorized an ECheck for $2,500!! Of course luckily my bank is smart and alerted me to this and would not allow the transaction without talking to me first. Sure enough it was this crooked leasing agency! I immediately reopened the case with my lawyer and had them block all transactions at my bank. Again they tried this but this time they changed their name just slightly and once again returned check fee. I was livid. The bank put even stricter protection on my account after that so last week when they tried to take $275 out they got a notice that they are not authorized to take money from this account.
Why am I telling you all this? Well yesterday I get the infamous call from FFG & Associates (866) 443-6985. Joseph again... man that guy really gets around! Sounds like he's been screwing people for years. I'm sure they get voluminous amounts of easily intimidated people who believe their bullspit. My first reaction was that this had something to do with this echeck scam that leasing agency is pulling. But before I called them I decided to lookup their business and guess what... all I find is pages of people who have had similar mysterious phone calls. I'm so glad I checked and so thankful to all of you for speaking up about this.
Any advice? Should I call and at least go through the task of attempting to get an address and info on who the debt is to? Or should I just ignore this? Not sure...
I hope all of you who have had run ins with these morons have been successful at getting past this crap and I hope nobody gave them any money. Good luck to all of you. Hopefully as a group we can stop these idiots.- Caller: FFG & Associates

- cc| 1 replyI received a messagel today from "Joseph" at FFG & Assoc. to call regarding a check and security. Thought for sure it was a scam and it looks like that is true. I am going to call my local paper and if they want to check into this and alert people to be careful. NEVER, NEVER give information out over the phone.

This is a letter everyone should read. When they call you remind them of this and then report them.... report them over and over again. Hey all you FFG and associate people that are reading this. We are not going to let you get away with this. I've already contacted my Lawyer and you all should do the same. - IvyLooks like we know exactly what "Joseph" did ALL Day for a while now.
It seems like a recording since it sounds the same exact way every time. I'm not sure becauseI have only received voice messages but I want to know if I would be able to actually talk to "him" to say eff off, if I did pick up the phone...- Caller: Joseph- No company- vague info

- Holley replies to annoyedA Joseph called today stating he was with FFG & Associates and to call back at 866-443-6985/ There are 3 adults living in our household . The message just said "please call regarding a check you wrote . I need to verify some information. " The caller id was a local number. 1 of us does not have a checking, and the other 2 never write checks - debit card only. This just screams SCAM.

- Chankenz replies to s1455342OMG...I have been going threw the same exact thing this week....with the same amount and stating it was from 2008! We had our identity stolen a while back, so I asked for copies and they gave me the run around.....said they were in the process of filing papers also. We personally haven't taken out a loan with anyone, but that's not saying someone didn't use our name. I don't plan on paying a penny unless I get something from the court. Let me know how you make out with this....good luck!
- SisbugWell sounds like we have all been dealing with the same thing. I got a call from them and the lady said her name was Ms. Hogan. She told me that I had received a loan and did not repay them. She wanted to verify information and see if I was still with the same bank. I told her no I wasn't and that I couldn't verify the info over the phone. I asked for her number and I would get back to her. I called back to verify this number was legit and of course that person isn't available. Scary what these people can get by with.

- AnonymGot a call Friday @ my work (a government building) from Joseph demanding a call back but no rhyme or reason. My Identity was stolen last week from my Debit card and I thought I caught it in time but no telling what all damages has occurred. I don't know for sure if this is a legitimate collection from a transaction of a criminal or if this is an act of a criminal. I would like to see if any one else has possibly had their info sold prior to this so called collector calling.

- RareCatchI got a call today and since I was on a multi-lined phone that had more than one ringing at a time, I picked up their call. They said that I was having a lawsuit filed tomorrow regarding some payday loan. I did get a payday loan last year but not from this company. However, the company did try to make a draft against an account that I did not use. So, right there, I knew that something was up. Anyways, I would not verify the last 4 of my social and told them I was working with my legal council on this matter and could not communicate with them on this. IMAGINE THIS!!!! They had some half right name for my attorney! What gives them the right to invade my privacy! So.....I guess I will be arrested and taken to jail tomorrow.........oh my imagine this..............I haven't had a trial yet! Know your rights!
Debt collectors face unique challenges that can tempt some in the business to engage in illegal behavior. If you believe that a debt collector is hounding or threatening you, it may be time to review your legal rights.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act requires that debt collectors treat those who have failed to repay their creditors in a fair manner. It prohibits abusive debt collection practices. For a complete listing of your rights as a debtor, visit the Federal Trade Commission Web site at www.ftc.gov.
The following debt collection practices are among those that are prohibited.
Debt collectors may NOT:
>Harass, oppress or abuse you or any third parties they contact.
>Use threats of harm.
>Publish a list of consumers who refuse to pay their debts.
>Use obscene language.
>Repeatedly use the telephone to annoy someone.
>Take or threaten to take your property unless this can be done legally.
They are also restricted in the statements they can make to debtors. Debt collectors may NOT tell you that:
>You will be arrested if you do not pay your debt.
>They will seize, garnish, attach or sell your property or wages, unless the collection agency or creditor intends to do so and it is legal to do so.
>They will take actions, such as a lawsuit, against you, when such action legally may not be taken, or when they do not intend to do so.
Finally, debt collectors may NOT:
>Give false credit information about you to anyone.
>Send you anything that looks like an official document from a court or government agency when it is not.
>Use a false name.
>A debt collector is permitted to contact you in person, by mail, phone, telegram or fax. However, he or she may not contact you at inconvenient times or places (such as before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., unless you agree). And, they may not contact your place of work if the collector knows that your employer disapproves of such contacts.
Report any problems you have with a debt collector to your state Attorney General’s office. You may also want to file a complaint with your Better Business Bureau.- Caller: FFG Associates

- Kristen Riha| 1 replyI have no idea who this Joseph is from FFG calling to verify info on a check he is saying I wrote.
I don't know FFG, Joseph or anyone from this number. He never used my name and the call came in on my cell phone which is odd.
I imagine this is some kind of debt collection since calls are showing up like crazy on my digital phone service - but I have no idea who this is and my name is never referenced or used.
Its bordering harrassment now and I am trying to find an address for these numbers so I can let them know to stop calling me.- Caller: FFG
