Left a message on my voice mail that if I wanted to use this service, I had to set up an account with a credit card.  I called the number back and got a message that it was disconnected

I answered the phone and there was just a pause.  I hung up thnking it was one of those recordings that was going to ask me to stay on the line so I hung upand the person called back.  This time, there was only static on the phone.  I then decided to google the phone number and I came across this webpage.  I called the number back and got a message that that number is no longer in service.  I guess it just goes to voice mail and they have recorded that message.

As far as my caller id is concerned, it just displayed unknown caller and just had the number.

Sorry I'm not more help.  If they call back, I'll try to get more information out of them and repost

Just figured out who is calling.  One of Charleston's Most wanted was finally captured by the police and this call is from a jail.

Also received a call from this # -- let it go to V/M -- The voicemail was in part cut-off but the partial message said: "account inquiries contact billing at customer service at 866.230.7761. To refuse this call Hang Up."  Whem I called 866.230.7761, a message with "Thank you for calling Global Tel-Link..." and that their office was closed & to call back during their prescribed office hours ... OR hold while they x'fer me to their auto-pay service.  Hummmmmm.

Twice got a computer call from SW Correctional Facility Inmate named Chris as a collect call

Got a recording that an inmate from Cape May County Correctional Institute was trying to contact me and that if I wished to accept the charges I would need to call back to another number and furnish credit or debit card information to create a prepaid calling account.  After a 30 second or so pause - the call disconnected.  I didn't write down the second number.  When I called the originating number back (out of curiosity) - I got a fake-sounding male recording that the number was disconnected...

Call came from Indian River Jail (Vero Beach, FL) stating that an inmate wished to speak to me.  The very weak voice was crying and wanted to be bailed out.  He was questioned about his name and date of birth but did not answer.  Contacted my son and daughter, neither were within 150 miles of Vero Beach.

Two calls from this number. Caller seemed to be a family member.  Calls to possible family members determined that they were at leat 150 miles away from the site of the calls.

Someone either dosen't know the number of their relative, or is just trying to use my credit card to get out of jail.

This is apparently a central number from a service, because when I got a call from this number last night it was my son calling collect from an Arkansas prison unit where he is incarcerated.

I just got a call and it said monmouth county correctional facility, but i couldnt accept the call and i dont know how to contact this person! please help.

fiest call no reply...second call..no reply 3rd call got what sounded like a spanish speaking recording..4th call got static and almost sounded like a fax..

I get calls EVERY NIGHT between 7 and 8 from this number. It says it's "Monmouth correctional facility", but I deny every time because I do not know anyone that is in jail. I also called the 1-877-650-4249 to get the calls blocked and they want to charge me an outrageous amount of money for it! WTF?!

I just got a call from an inmate but it didnt say what jail it just said an inmate with global telelink and when i pressed 1 to deny it hung up and i forgot the # it said to call back on...i better not get charged

Have received about 2 dozen phone calls from a local prison under a Global Tel Link number. The automated message is in Spanish. All instructions are in Spanish. If I were to accidentally hit a key on my keypad I would be connected to a local prisoner and charged for it without even knowing it. The phone company refuses to block these calls and the local prisons claim they know nothing about this number or any such system.

i hate this crap all day long..
